I booked a reservation some hours earlier. My girlfriend was really excited to try this place. We get there a few minutes before our reservation and were immediately sat. We were given menus by the host and told we would be helped shortly. Shortly ended up being 20 minutes, when my girlfriend flagged down one of their employees wearing all black. We let the employee know that we had been sitting for 20 minutes and had not been greeted or acknowledged. She apologized and let us know we would be helped shortly, once again. Mind you, everyone else around us was being attended to. Drinks were being served, food was being served to everyone. Except for us. We then waited another 4 minutes until a server finally came JUST to ask if he could take one of our chairs to be used for a party. What a bummer. We ended up getting up and leaving. I understand sometimes establishments are busy, but to wait 20 minutes on someone to greet us, having to flag employees down? Come on. Maybe because we were young looking, or your not so typical couple. I don’t know, but I’m highly disappointed. We left hungry, thirsty, and annoyed.

Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner here. The service was exemplary and the food delicious. We enjoyed the craft cocktails. It was easy to make a reservation at the timeframe we wanted. I would highly recommend this establishment.

This was an awesome place. We did not know anything about Hearsay. The bar across the street recommended them. We had the Kung Pao calamari and shrimp as an appetizer and it was amazing. We also had the crab crusted redfish and the ribeye and both were cooked to perfection with lots of flavor. We are from the Dallas area and we were excited to find out that one of these restaurants will be coming to our area. I highly recommend this place.

Excellent food, service, and atmosphere. We went for happy hour, passed around four appetizers. All four were delicious- we voted the brisket tacos for best appetizer. We’ll come back for more!

Went to celebrate anniversary. Left after cocktails because the experience and service was such a miss. Had dinner at Riondos and so thankful we did.

Our group of six picked Hearsay for brunch based on the prior reviews. We were NOT disappointed! Sam was an outstanding server. We had a super set up in the fishbowl. Our food was excellent and we decided to get an order of the Creme brûlée French toast for the table for “dessert,” and it was awesome. If we are back in Galveston and we want brunch we will definitely go to Hearsay!

Aaron was our waiter and he did such a wonderful job taking care of us on the upstairs patio. We had the area to ourselves and with kids that was a huge bonus. We ordered the Philly cheesesteak rolls, meatballs, poblano soup, short rib, redfish, filet and the scallops. All which were delicious except for the scallops that were terribly fishy and needed to be sent back. The kids enjoyed their meal and the cocktails and wine were great. The vibe and atmosphere is really great and the decor is spot on. Would love to go back next time we are in town.
