Previously the Sunday Roast has been one of the hotels notable event This time in 2024 it was the worst roast ever - the meat wasn’t a nice piece of roast beef at all - The hotel roast needs to lift its game

Hello, Ive enjoyed this room over many years. This visit the staff were not on the case. they were very busy chatting behind the bar and neglecting the service. The room wasn't particularly full which made the absentee staff seem even more neglectful. Side dishes are delivered well after the main course was delivered, even after a reminder, and the charred broccolini was charcoal. Our table of diners was so worn-out trying to garner servers attention, the thought of enduring the wait for dessert meant the meal was abandoned . its a lovely building but there no longer a reason to go.

Fantastic venue, terrible service. Sunday afternoon - No where near enough staff. 10-15 minute wait to order food/get a drink at the bar, needed twice as many staff taking orders. Food took forever. Food was OK, but not worth the wait.

Great food in a lovely environment- especially impressed with our waiter who fully understood my need for FODMAP meal and was able to recommend suitable dishes - another person in our group is vegetarian and there were great options for her too ! We look forward to returning

great restaurant for my birthday celebrations. my first time in the bistro and it was great. staff looked after the cake i’d brought and put all the candles on for me it was perfect! a free birthday drink as well :)

Great pub lunch on Saturday. Lovely meals & attentive service. Kids meals came out quickly, was a bit of a wait for mains but we didn't mind. Recommend & would eat here again.
