Headlam Hall is a fabulous 17th century country house located on its own farming estate 8 miles west of Darlington. The restaurant serves award winning food that showcases the best of local produce including ingredients in season from the Hall's own kitchen garden. Diners can enjoy a pre-dinner drink in the stylish Library Bar (where you can also eat if desired) before eating in the beautiful Orangery Restaurant. After dinner you can relax in the comfort of the Main Hall Lounge.

Very disapointed we were placed in a Bar not a dinning room. Not happy they allow dogs into the bar, as there were diners. I have no problem generally with dogs in the bar - just not with diners. This is the first time in our visits to the restaurant this has happened. However the food was excellant.

A very enjoyable experience and meal. Lovely venue. Service was very good as the restaurant and bar were quiet. The food was presented beautifully and tasted divine.

The staff at Headlam Hall were fabulous a d made my mothers Birthday Celebration very special and memorable. We had a fabulous afternoon

Had a lunch here but disappointed with the food. Menu was limited and food only average. It was a complete contrast to the evening meal later that week which was excellent. Setting, ambience and service was however very good on both occasions.

Sunday dinner was lovely especially the meat however the roasties had been kept warm far too long and were tough.
