Haywire is a Texas-inspired restaurant known for larger-than-life dining experiences, an award-winning wine cellar and extensive list of highly allocated whiskeys. Haywire delivers a true Texas experience through an innovative farm-to-fork menu complete with vendor partners representing every corner of the state. We sat at the patio bar waiting for all of group to arrive, and Jason was awesome. He was so friendly and attentive. My friend wanted a frozen jalapeno margarita, and those do not come frozen, but he knew exactly what to add to a frozen margarita to get that same flavor experience. She was thrilled and had two. So, you know she liked it.

Enjoyed the atmosphere and outdoor patio. Parking is convenient. Food and beverages were relatively average. Service was attentive and welcoming.

Pet peeve. Chicken fried steak that is all breading and basically no meat. The meatloaf was excellent in contrast. Lovely restaurant but confusing to find. Low noise level was excellent. Service was fine.

The ambiance is fantastic & the food just average. Underwhelming considering all the recent hype. Tallow fries came out lukewarm on both orders. Not much flavor. Filet mignon was average in flavor and quality of preparation. Kids Mac and cheese had zero flavor. The desserts were fantastic! Service was extremely slow on a Sunday evening with restaurant less than half full. Unfortunately we will not return.

We tried Haywire for brunch at a friend’s recommendation; unfortunately, our experience was less enjoyable than expected. Our server Renée’s friendliness, attention, and service were excellent. My wife’s Crabcake Benedict was quite disappointing - the crab cakes were cold, and the poached eggs were overcooked. My Ranch Hand Breakfast was just okay; the thick cut bacon was chewy rather than crunchy or crispy, and the scrambled eggs were not cooked properly, as the cheese was not fully melted. Thankfully, the cocktails (espresso martini and Haywire Old Fashioned) were outstanding - actually the best part of the brunch. We’re willing to give Haywire another chance for lunch or dinner; hopefully the food at our next visit will be more satisfactory.
