Nathaniel’s Restaurant at the Hawthorne Hotel offers a perfect start and end to any day. The morning hours are bright with the wall of windows, the plates are creative and include all the Breakfast favorites; Pancakes, Waffles, our Hearty Hawthorne Breakfast, and our Famous house-made Hawthorne Corned Beef Hash!

Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, Nathaniel’s transforms into a lounge-like atmosphere, with candles, live piano and acoustic entertainment or ambient music playing from our brass gramophone. Sit beside the baby grand piano, beneath the famed author’s portrait, or in front of the historical culinary tribute cabinet and you will find there is a reason our guests have loved Nathaniel’s Restaurant for decades.

Our Tavern restaurant offers a comfortable pub style atmosphere, with our toasty fireplace and warm ambience, you can't help but sink into our comfy arm chairs, while sipping a hot toddy!

Excellent friendly service, delicious food, we asked for a corner table and got it, great place for holiday lunch. Beautifully decorated. A bit noisy but we didn’t have trouble hearing each other.

Once again our dining experience at the Hawthorne Tavern was outstanding and we loved the ambiance. The servers were nice and good at their jobs. All four of us at my table enjoyed our meals which were served promptly, even on a night when the Tavern was packed. I'd especially like to call-out Lori for taking such good care of us. My family, friends and I will be back.

The hollandaise sauce didn’t have much taste. Our waitress was MIA after we ordered our meal. We had to flag down other staff to ask for a coffee refill and another time to ask for a condiment.

Very pleasant!! Wait staff were very professional friendly and courteous! Requested to sit by the fireplace and our request was granted! Everyone was friendly and polite!

I ordered the Autumn Quinoa Salad which I did not enjoy. It had too much quinoa and the greens were way too large and there was not enough dressing. Sad to say I flew in from Florida for Thanksgiving and was disappointed.

The Sunday brunch is amazing. The food was so delicious got a made to order omelette that was heaven..the coffee was fantastic. Service was great even while they were very busy.

We went here for brunch. The staff wasn’t very friendly when we arrived for our reservation; the host didn’t even bring us to our table. Instead, she pointed at a table in the back corner and said “your table’s over there” and left us to walk over to the table (without menus). Food was fine, nothing special. Then again, it is hard to mess up breakfast food. My husband’s meal came out 5 minutes after the other 3 meals. Service overall was very slow, but at least there was a pianist playing.

I really love this place and I really do like the hotel. But last night wasn’t terrific. It took a very long time for us to get our drinks and when we got them they were terrible. We didn’t bother changing them because we didn’t have the time. My food came out it was absolutely the wrong order. The food itself was fine it just wasn’t what I ordered. And when I mentioned that I could tell it would be kind of an ordeal to change so I just ate it.
