Nathaniel’s Restaurant at the Hawthorne Hotel offers a perfect start and end to any day. The morning hours are bright with the wall of windows, the plates are creative and include all the Breakfast favorites; Pancakes, Waffles, our Hearty Hawthorne Breakfast, and our Famous house-made Hawthorne Corned Beef Hash!

Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, Nathaniel’s transforms into a lounge-like atmosphere, with candles, live piano and acoustic entertainment or ambient music playing from our brass gramophone. Sit beside the baby grand piano, beneath the famed author’s portrait, or in front of the historical culinary tribute cabinet and you will find there is a reason our guests have loved Nathaniel’s Restaurant for decades.

Our Tavern restaurant offers a comfortable pub style atmosphere, with our toasty fireplace and warm ambience, you can't help but sink into our comfy arm chairs, while sipping a hot toddy!

Food quality was awful for the price range. Choice selection was also minimal, no specials. Looked at menu online, not what was offered. Been there many times and loved it. Not the same.

The Tavern was very nice, clean and cosy. The food was delicious, especially the clam chowder. Service was very good and professional. A little pricy but was worh it because quality food and service.

We had an early dinner at the tavern and really enjoyed the food and drinks. The waiter was very sociable and attentive.

We got there for a late dinner and enjoyed the meal. Only complaint I have is they were out of the beer I wanted. Other than that, food and service were great.

Came for breakfast/brunch and the food was delicious. We had a large party and waitress was very attentive. Service was slightly slow but we weren’t in a rush and we were a big table (I think we were there about 2 hours)There was a man playing the piano and it was lovely but a bit too loud to talk over which was alittle distracting. Overall positive experience

Friendly host, great server, excellent food, beautiful old wood tavern, some noise coming through the wall from the adjacent party, but overall a wonderful evening. We will return.

Not extraordinary. I wanted the Nathaniel room but online it looked like only the tavern served dinner. Wasn’t offered bread to start. Salad was good
