Hawthorn is a refined neighbourhood restaurant serving modern European and British cuisine. We offer a friendly and relaxed environment suitable for any occasion and are located a very short walk from Kew Gardens and Kew station.
We opened in February 2023 and have been featured in the Good Food Guide top 100 neighbourhood restaurants and also added into the 2023 Michelin guide.

'Hawthorn wine club' is a relaxed and informal dining experience, where our restaurant uses the opportunity to offer some exceptional wines at an affordable price point. We will highlight a number of standout wines on our list and offer an a la carte menu of individually priced bistro style dishes such as onglet of beef with peppercorn sauce, sliced mortadella with grilled white asparagus or Cassoulet fennel sausages with haricot beans. Expect delicious desserts such as sauternes marinated apricot and almond tart, or a Valrhona chocolate brownie with Madagascan vanilla ice cream.' With tables available from 5pm to 8pm every Wednesday night we hope you will come to enjoy one of these evenings with us.

A worthy successor to the Glass House, a thoughtful and creative menu, well presented and delicious. Wine list prices tend to the expensive.

Really wanted to give this 5* having been several times before both as the Glasshouse and Hawthorn. However service was very mixed as was some of the food. The ingredients in a couple of the dishes really didn’t gel. Very sad because we used to love this place. We felt a bit neglected, the chef spoke to just about every table but we were ignored. Not great if you spend close to £300 for two

PERFECT IN EVERY WAY, BRILLIANT FOOD, LOVELY STAFF AND SERVICE- TOTALLY EXCEPTIONAL. WHAT A SHAME - BECAUSE OF FINANCIAL COSTS-OVERHEADS ETC THIS LOVELY RESTAURANT HAS DECIDED TO CLOSE. IWISH ALL CONCERNED ALL HAPPINESS IN THEIR NEXT MOVE.

Josh is an exceptional chef. It’s such a shame this great restaurant will close soon. Kew will be a poorer place for its loss.

Superb, as always. Gorgeous food, helpful service and a great atmosphere. So sad it’s closing at the end of this month :-(

It was perfect for a gettogether of old friends that have not seen each other for a long time. Food was excellent, no background music , tables far enough apart to have normal conversation. Impeccable service. Shame it’s closing!

Wonderful birthday celebration. Delicious and original food and great service as always. So sad that this place is closing. Definitely go while you can.
