Our first time eating at Hawkyns . The service was great …attentive and polite …the food was lovely particularly the prawn dishes .we ordered the black dal on recommendation from the waiter but not really our taste . I had one Prosecco and my husband 3 Peronis and we each had three course . Our bill came to £175 which is on the expensive side. Our only negative was the fact that the tables were so close together there was a lack of privacy . All in all a nice restaurant for a special meal out without going into London.

My daughter was visiting from the USA and we had a family get together. The food was of the highest quality and the service was excellent.

We had been given a voucher, so didn’t know what to expect. The food was good but not exceptional. It was well seasoned and not over salted. We were surprised to be charged £5.00 for tap water, haven’t had that before. Service was very good. Other reviews have said the portion sizes are small, though we found them be about right for when you’re having three or more courses. The location is lovely. We had drinks in the courtyard before dinner.

Delicious food and great options for all dietary needs. The staff are really lovely. So lucky to have this on our doorstep.

Pleasant dining area with good service without being pressured. The food was as described on the menu and was excellent. Beautifully prepared and presented. Good value for money for high quality food.

Our meal was excellent. The service was impeccable,friendly efficient and knowledgeable staff The food was wonderful,portion size perfect and good choice for vegetarians. The dinner price is expensive but happy to pay that for a special occasion. The set lunch menu is very good value. I would definitely recommend this restaurant
