Hawksmoor Wood Wharf is housed in an eco-friendly floating pavilion in a new riverside neighbourhood in Canary Wharf. Gently rising and falling with the tide, the main restaurant at dock-level is joined by a 120-seat waterside bar, The Lowback. Both include terraces with views across the water (squint your eyes and you might just see the ghosts of great ships laden with mighty lengths of timber that used to swing in and unload there). There's also a private dining room for up to 20 people named after the local legend Queenie Watts, a singer, songwriter, actor and self-confessed bawdy landlady (think Peggy Mitchell meets Joni Mitchell). The menu revolves around the best British produce the country has to offer with grass-fed dry-aged ethically reared beef, sustainable seafood from the South coast and some of the biggest hits from the Hawksmoor New York menu.

Really liked the place: the staff, the atmosphere and especially the food. It was one of the best steaks I've tried. Food was perfect and really delicious, lots of options for drinks and food. Will definitely come here again.

Firstly the food was delicious as always. Our only disappointment is the bar is not that great. Asked for a cocktail that was on the menu only to be told after a few mins that they had run out of ingredients. Then asked for a gin and apparently they don’t have gin glasses. This is something I think you need to invest in.

My dad was a little upset that a resturant of this quality had ran out of a starter (crab)but other than this the roast dinner was absolutely stunning and the service were excellent!

Good food. Good location. Poor service. We waited an hour without any drinks. Then longer for food.

Night out with the family. I’ve personally been to a few different Hawksmoor restaurants over the years and still to this day can fully recommend every location. Absolutely amazing food and overall dining experience.

A wonderful meal at one of my favourite places. Sad times, the stuffing had run out! Can’t wait to return, may bring some Paxo next time 😉.

We booked late because we had been to ABBA, so we were sat downstairs with the less well equipped bar and the service suffered for it - the food was mostly good although parts of the pink roast beef was oddly tough - probably because it was too late in the afternoon - an omitted meal was quickly rustled up and the bill with an extra four meals we didn’t have was quickly rectified all with good grace, but it’s Hawksmoor and you expect a bit better. The wine was excellent as were the puddings and it was a celebration and the staff were lovely so didn’t make a fuss.

Went for a Sunday Roast - it was nice. Could have done with a bit more gravy. Quite pricey - so more of a treat Sunday roast.
