Hawksmoor Wood Wharf is housed in an eco-friendly floating pavilion in a new riverside neighbourhood in Canary Wharf. Gently rising and falling with the tide, the restaurant sits across two floors on the dock and water level. Both floors include terraces with views across the water, with space for both dining and drinks.

There's also a private dining room for up to 20 people named after the local legend Queenie Watts, a singer, songwriter, actor and self-confessed bawdy landlady (think Peggy Mitchell meets Joni Mitchell).

The menu revolves around the best British produce the country has to offer with grass-fed dry-aged ethically reared beef, sustainable seafood from the South coast and some of the biggest hits from the Hawksmoor New York menu.

The 1.2Kg T-Bone came pre-sliced (that's fine) and with an extra (bare) T-bone. I hadn't realised we'd be paying for bone as part of the 1.2. I like Hawksmoor. I like their steaks. But on this occasion we felt completely ripped-off

Excellent meal, as always but it can sometimes feel a bit rushed in two hours to order, talk in between eating but also realise that you need the table to multiple sittings but other than that it was great.

One more day in Hawksmoor and was great! Fantastic service and steak came out just way we want it! I love Mondays in Hawksmoor you all should come around for wines and steak 🍷🎉

Great steak as ever. Also very friendly and efficient service. But the pricing of wine by the glass has just gone off the scale. Nothing less than £20 for a 175ml of red wine. Prohibitively expensive for a dinner when you only want one glass.

This is i think our fourth time visiting this Hawksmoor and it has become our favourite. The steaks are obviously amazing but the starters, and sides aren't overshadowed either. We went with smoked salmon, and Bone Marrow, as the starters; and beef dripping fries, creamed spinach, and heritage tomato salad for the sides with our Chateaubriand to share. Everything was exquisite. And the service was wonderful throughout.

Really disappointed in our meal. The roast dinner was very average, our meat was cold and potatoes were rock solid. We did complain to the waiter about this and they took a small fee off the bill. The service was extremely slow we were there 50 minutes before our starters even arrived. The decor was beautiful and we had a nice waiter. Just extremely disappointed in the food and service.

We had roast dinners and although most of it was good, there was a lack of consistency with the beef, with some receiving tough slices with a lot of sinue, and others receiving very tender slices. This is probably unavoidable with the rump cut they use, but when there’s only 2 large slices per portion, this is an issue. The potatoes were also not good (as is so often the case with roast dinners in restaurants), and were hard and tough. On the other hand, the veg, gravy, cauliflower cheese and stuffing were really good, as were the drinks and desserts. The service was pretty chaotic too, and there seemed to be too much for the serving staff to manage without long delays and an awkward atmosphere.
