Hawksmoor Wood Wharf is housed in an eco-friendly floating pavilion in a new riverside neighbourhood in Canary Wharf. Gently rising and falling with the tide, the restaurant sits across two floors on the dock and water level. Both floors include terraces with views across the water, with space for both dining and drinks.

There's also a private dining room for up to 20 people named after the local legend Queenie Watts, a singer, songwriter, actor and self-confessed bawdy landlady (think Peggy Mitchell meets Joni Mitchell).

The menu revolves around the best British produce the country has to offer with grass-fed dry-aged ethically reared beef, sustainable seafood from the South coast and some of the biggest hits from the Hawksmoor New York menu.

Night out with the family. I’ve personally been to a few different Hawksmoor restaurants over the years and still to this day can fully recommend every location. Absolutely amazing food and overall dining experience.

A wonderful meal at one of my favourite places. Sad times, the stuffing had run out! Can’t wait to return, may bring some Paxo next time 😉.

Went for a Sunday Roast - it was nice. Could have done with a bit more gravy. Quite pricey - so more of a treat Sunday roast.

Came for the Sunday roast and ordered the bone in prime rib between 3 of us. (1kg). Food took a long time to come, around 40 mins, and we weren’t told by the waiter that 30 minutes should be allowed for this. We asked for the beef to be cooked medium but it came completely rare and as a result was quite chewy. Shame as this was an expensive cut. We ordered the sides for the roast (£9pp), but they were underwhelming. Potatoes were insanely dry and under-seasoned, as was the Yorkshire pudding. Carrots and greens were mediocre as they were simply boiled or steamed, not roasted. Waiter didn’t come to us to ask how food was so we couldn’t send it back, especially after waiting so long for it to come in the first place. Paid around £55 per person and can confirm it was not worth the wait. We ordered around 2pm on a Sunday so expected it to be better quality as we didn’t turn up too late.

Great for children with a nut allergy - tasty food, same for adults and children. Huge portion sizes! Recommended for all steak lovers and beyond.

This was my third time at Hawksmoor Wood Wharf and it was another fantastic Sunday Roast and Sticky Toffee Sundae. I left very content and will be back again in about a year's time.

The food was first class and I had made a note that it was a dinner to celebrate my husbands birthday and so the dessert should have something put on it to say happy birthday. I called a day in advance to double check that this would happen and was assured that it would. When we got there the receptionist said happy birthday to him which was a lovely touch but alas when it came to the dessert they forgot to do anything and I asked the waiter who just laughed and walked off, that was strange. This didn’t spoil anything as the food was good. Just thought to mention that waiters should be reminded and certainly not walk off laughing without saying anything to apologise.

We loved everything in our dinner at Hawksmoor; A very welcoming front desk lady who gave us a quiet table, a super friendly and attentive waiter, excellent cocktails and wine as well as delicious food and desserts. Best restaurant by far in Canary Wharf!

Reliable and great new lunch menu additions. Fish and frites and rump steak and chips were great…but they never brought out the peppercorn sauce. We were in a hurry so didn’t bother asking….the restaurant wasn’t even full…maybe new staff…???
