Hawksmoor Wood Wharf is housed in an eco-friendly floating pavilion in a new riverside neighbourhood in Canary Wharf. Gently rising and falling with the tide, the restaurant sits across two floors on the dock and water level. Both floors include terraces with views across the water, with space for both dining and drinks.

There's also a private dining room for up to 20 people named after the local legend Queenie Watts, a singer, songwriter, actor and self-confessed bawdy landlady (think Peggy Mitchell meets Joni Mitchell).

The menu revolves around the best British produce the country has to offer with grass-fed dry-aged ethically reared beef, sustainable seafood from the South coast and some of the biggest hits from the Hawksmoor New York menu.

This summer, we’re offering a main paired with a choice of iconic Hawksmoor salads for just £19.50. Featuring classic Hawksmoor staples, such as 35-day dry aged Rump steak with gentleman’s relish, alongside new dishes like the irresistible charcoal chicken Ana Mari or Chalk stream trout – you can then pick your favourite salad sidekick from a line-up of Hawksmoor Caesar, heritage tomatoes, English lettuce & herb or bitter leaf, blue cheese & pecan or beef dripping chips. Available Monday to Friday for lunch bookings of up to 6 people.

I was treating my son before he goes back to school tomorrow. The service we received was great and the food Was amazing. We had the scotch bonnet oysters to start and they were divine. Followed by the rump steak & beef dripping chips, with gentlemen’s relish that was done to perfection. My son and I loved the food and had a great experience

Surroundings - Beautiful. Internal decor - Cigar Room, high quality. Ambience - Pleasant in the restaurant, boisterous in the bar area. Service - Server was fantastic. Food quality - Having been to the Spitalfields location a number of times, and being as equally impressed each time, I expected Wood Wharf to mirror/come close to the quality I've grown accustomed to. Unfortunately the food was a substantial disappointment. We opted for the 1.2kg Prime Rib along with a number of sauces and sides. The quality of the steak was nowhere even close to what I expected. There appeared to be a significant amount of gristle and the cooked product was tough. After waiting over an hour for our food in a somewhat 'quiet' restaurant, the sides and sauces arrived luke warm at best, and the worst part about it was that every item had been seasoned with crushed rock salt after if had been cooked and plated, which completely masked the individual flavours and made everything taste extremely and unnecessarily salty. For a cover of 2, the bill totalled £245. The following food items were ordered: 1.2kg Prime Rib, Peppercorn, Hollandaise & Bone Marrow Gravy. Sides: Truffle Fries, Mash &, Gravy, Spinach Lemon and Garlic, Garlic Mushrooms, Mac &, Cheese, Bone Marrow. Aside from the Mac and Cheese everything was luke warm and extremely disappointing. We finished the meal with the Sticky Toffee Pudding and Sticky Toffee Sundae.

After a really pleasant first visit to this Hawksmoor for Sunday Lunch, we came for.our son's birthday treat. The food was disappointing - considering it is renowned for its beef, the Roast Beef was grisly tough and tasteless. The service was mediocre. Our waiter, whilst in the middle.of taking our order stepped away from us without a word and started talking to the table next to us and ko apology when he resumed. Then after asking for the bill, he brought over the card machine thrusting it past me to my husband. I had the bill at my side and had presented the bill to him - anyone with a sense would have known I was the person with the pincode! And all of this was done without a word. A thank you. A have a nice day. A hope you enjoyed it. Nothing!
