Hawksmoor Wood Wharf is housed in an eco-friendly floating pavilion in a new riverside neighbourhood in Canary Wharf. Gently rising and falling with the tide, the main restaurant at dock-level is joined by a 120-seat waterside bar, The Lowback. Both include terraces with views across the water (squint your eyes and you might just see the ghosts of great ships laden with mighty lengths of timber that used to swing in and unload there). There's also a private dining room for up to 20 people named after the local legend Queenie Watts, a singer, songwriter, actor and self-confessed bawdy landlady (think Peggy Mitchell meets Joni Mitchell). The menu revolves around the best British produce the country has to offer with grass-fed dry-aged ethically reared beef, sustainable seafood from the South coast and some of the biggest hits from the Hawksmoor New York menu.

Parties of 8+ guests have the option to dine from one of our delicious sharing menus, and for 13+ guests these menus are compulsory: Moonlighter (£62-67), Silvertail (£73-78) or Hawkabelle (£93-98). These include some of our most popular cuts of steak served with crowd-pleasing Hawksmoor sides. Please select one menu for the entire group. Your guests will then get all dishes on that menu to share. The team will get in touch with you once your booking is made to find out your menu and any dietary requirements. In the absence of a choice for your group, we will serve the 3-courses Silvertail menu (£78pp). Our first waiter could not be bothered. He put the wine on the table, after he spilled it all over the table and his hand. After he poured our first glass of wine, he stopped paying us any attention. He did not apologise just cleaned it up and said nothing. He left the water on the table. There were only three tables occupied in his section so I don’t know what he was busy with but he was not pouring wine or water for us! Eventually, he went on a break and we got a really good replacement. Too bad it was so late in the meal. By this time we were on dessert and his attitude had spoiled the dining experience. The next waiter was so attentive he made the other one look worse. He poured wine and water effortlessly and gave us interesting information about the restaurant. He was kind and caring and really attentive. If he had been our waiter the whole time, the whole experience would have been exceptional. The starters were ace! Blue cheese and bitter leaf salad was delicious. The steaks tasted amazing although tough to cut in some places. The best crispiest chips I have had in my life. The dessert I had was a peanut butter shortbread. It was dry and underwhelming. All in all, the Hawksmoor has not lived up to the hype unfortunately. I am not sure we will bother eating there again soon.

Service was bad the food was too chewy and not cooked properly it was over priced aswell and the food wasn't quality I won't be coming back here again and the staff was too rude and miserable

I had the chicken and was not properly cooked. I left it all on my plate. Left hungry.

We had the Sunday roast it was very nice but the roast potatoes need work . They was anemic looking and just wasn’t amazing . The dinner overall is very nice the stuffing is beautiful and loves the decor and atmosphere. The service isn’t amazing but overall a nice experience and I would return .

First time coming to the restaurant, food was excellent, the atmosphere was great, and our server matt was the best, not one complaint at all, food arrived on time our glasses were never empty and matt made the experience worth coming, would highly recommend, give that man a pay rise!!!

We had a deal for a 3 course meal and a drink. The food was stunning the starter was particularly amazing. But I also had an amazing blue steak..(which is often hard to get perfect). We had a great seat on the terrace., and the view was stunning, This restaurant is one we had been planning to test for some time. And it was excellent.

Very expensive for what you get but don’t mind when it is a treat but the steaks we ordered well done were burnt, chargrilled and inedible. It’s not hard to cook a steak well done with no blood without burning it. For £45 per steak I have emailed to complain. The rest of the food was nice but the staff were quite slow and for the money it cost I don’t think it was worth it and left disappointed. Flat Iron cook steak better than the chef on this occasion. I’ve visited a few times and never had a problem so not sure what on earth went wrong yeaterday.

We are regular and It was a birthday celebration for my husband. Staff is super friendly. Enjoy the lovely steak and our wine / sparkling. We had a fantastic night with Hawksmoor! Thank you! ☺️
