   Very disappointing evening at hawskmoor liverpool 23 March.. always eat at this restaurant great food and service..... Went with friend ordered starter each was very nice indeed ... ordered roast dinner each When dinners arrived me friend only had one roast potatoe I had 2 so asked waiter if his correct she replied no not all so extra potatoes arrived so ordered extra gravy with waiter waited a while no gravy so asked another member of staff for extra gravy in the end I asked four members of staff for extra gravy no joy so by now dinner was nearly cold so had word with waiter saying me dinner nearly cold and wasn't happy to which waiter picked plates of stormed of couple minutes later a manger came over apologised I explained I always come here love the food great service usually He replied there no charge which I replied I will pay for everything except my dinner which went cold he said no there charge .. So I explained I hadn't be well of late and had treated meslf and friend to a hawskmoor roast to my surprise was told by manger it's not my fault you haven't been well .... no even a gesture of yer want a coffee or nothing very disappointing indeed for first time I always pay service charge and give a tip 😒😒😒😒😒😒

   We arrived 15 minutes early and wanted to have a drink in the bar first but was shown to our table. At first I thought the service was superb as staff were very attentive however after we ordered our food felt we were rushed and our courses were coming up too quick. The prawn cocktail was ok but not much flavour, our main course fillet steak and some sides wasn’t hot enough so sent back but didn’t want to wait too long for the steak to be re cooked so kept it. Also the steak was over seasoned with too much salt. Was given part refund for the food not being hot. Was disappointed felt rushed and heat of food not hot enough

   Glad I’ve been but wouldn’t go back service was not very good ask for another drink didn’t receive it 20 minutes later had to remind them food was ok but expensive for what you got

   Food was incredible but a tad pricey, table next to us was quite loud, we were a couple they were a large birthday party. Two different types of events. Better thought out seating maybe? However it was a Saturday and busy so appreciate this isn’t always possible. Great surroundings, cocktails incredible! Overall really recommend!

   Menu was good. We were early enough for lunch £23 for steak and chips which was really nice, great quality and cooked really well. We had prawn cocktail for starter and it was lovely but £15 far too expensive. I was really most disappointed by the wine selection. Cheapest bottle of wine was £49 and it was a lovely bottle so took a picture and found it sells for £12 that’s some mark up!

   Food excellent, service excellent, ambience excellent,the only thing was the prices for a bottle of wine,the cheapest being £80, I'm not tight but that is a bit expensive but, saying that I will be going again

   Amazing food, long wait for main course, we were given a free round for the delay, was a birthday celebration so a bit of a disappointment, food was fab though 👍

    We had the porterhouse to share and it was just perfect for us , cooked to perfection , medium rare , loved my cherry sour cocktail , will definitely be recommending it to all our friends and family
