Overall v good, but a couple of minor problems - I had a piece of shell on my crab on toast, the creamed spinach tasted more of. Rosemary than spinach, and the “skirlie” was more caramelised onions and bone marrow than traditional skirlie. Service was very good. Nice atmosphere

Service was great, food was delicious but had to send back main as was not hot, this was quickly dealt with however and staff were very apologetic, this did not spoil our night, these things happen, drinks were great also, would definitely go back

Really lovely meal with my mom visiting Scotland. Enjoyed everything about this place and already wish I could go back.

The staff and food were excellent. We had the prawn and crab appetizers and vennison and lobster mains along with deserts. All wonderful, not rushed just enjoyable.

We went knowing we wanted a steak and it did not disappoint. The staff were great and helped us choose what size and cut we would like. We both chose the same and our waitress asked if we would prefer a sharing steak, but my husband doesn't share steak, just the sides and we had a laugh about that. The scallops were cooked perfectly and presented well. The steaks were cooked perfectly too. We chose fries and garlic mushrooms to share, peppercorn sauce and beef sauce and this was the perfect amount for us.

Wonderful experience. Visiting with friends who have travelled from Australia. We wanted to give them an impressive experience and show off Edinburgh’s hospitality. We had a fantastic meal and service was very good. A superb building ideally suited to a restaurant of this standard. 5 stars all round, no hesitation recommending.
