Welcome to Hawksmoor Chicago, where we bring our acclaimed steakhouse experience from the UK to the iconic LaSalle Powerhouse in River North. Our ethos is simple: ‘Buy the best and let it shine.’ We serve all-natural, pasture-reared, dry-aged beef from US family-run farms, cooked over charcoal and seasoned simply with sea salt. Our seafood, sourced from trusted Northeastern fishermen, is prepared with equal care.

In our 16,500 sq ft space, featuring barrel-vaulted ceilings and touches from the Golden Age of Travel, Hawksmoor is perfect for any occasion. Whether you’re stopping by for cocktails, a casual lunch or a special celebration, we make sure you leave full and happy. We also offer private dining for groups of 10 to full venue buy-outs for 500—ideal for birthdays, anniversaries, weddings and corporate events.

And don’t miss our Sunday Roast: dry-aged beef, beef-dripping potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and bone marrow gravy—something like a Thanksgiving dinner every Sunday.

Sundays at Hawksmoor are all about our Sunday Roast: all-natural, dry-aged, slow-roasted Rump served with crispy beef dripping potatoes, Caraflax cabbage and carrots, gigantic Yorkshire puddings, lashings of bone marrow & onion gravy and the option for a side of cauliflower cheese or slow-roasted bone marrow and onions. Sunday Roast dates back to the 15th century where large joints of meat were roasted on a spit over an open fire; to achieve a similar flavor, we start ours on our charcoal grill and finish them in the oven. Many who've had a Sunday Roast equate it to a Thanksgiving dinner – a comforting, filling meal that is best in the company of loved ones. And, should a Bloody Mary, or two, be consumed alongside it, who are we to judge?

From feasts of grass-fed beef and sustainable seafood, to wine tastings or casual dinners, with expertly crafted cocktails and canapés, we can work with you to make your sharing menu dining event an experience like no other. With names inspired by prize cattle, we have created sharing menus featuring our favorite iconic and seasonal dishes, at a range of prices to best suit your occasion. Please see pictures below for menu choices details. Menus are all served family-style - with the steaks cooked to order, sliced and served in cast-iron skillets with our legendary sides and sauces. Sharing puddings complete the feast.

Have you heard of our Monday Wine Club? It’s a simple concept: bring any wine you like – doesn’t matter if it’s a first-growth Bordeaux or a bottle of Barefoot – and we’ll only charge you $10 corkage (for up to two bottles). Not sure what to buy? Take a stroll over to our neighbors at the Aqua Wine & Spirits store (they’re literally on the other side of the street) and they’ll help you choose something to make your meal pop. You can even call us ahead of time and ask one of our somms what they suggest.

Cocktail Hour is kind of a big deal here at Hawksmoor. From 5 till 7pm, Monday to Friday, you can grab a selection of our world-class cocktails for a cool $12 – and we’re doing our freshly shucked Island Creek oysters for just $2 a pop. Try Chicago’s coldest martini – we serve ours at a bracing 10°f – with spicy Scotch Bonnet Oysters or our Wicklow Old Fashioned with charcoal-roasted bone marrow oysters. The best bit? No reservations required – just swing by when it suits you. Of course, if you’d like to stay for dinner, you can book a table any time.

Wonderful. Have been twice and both times food and service excellent! Previously dined at two locations in London and was delighted to have Hawksmoor come to Chicago.

This was our fist time dining at The Hawksmoore. Our server guided us in making the perfect choices for our table of 2 couples. We each ordered our steak of preference and added the mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, creamed spinach. Appetizers she recommended were scallops-delicious! and shrimp which I would skip as they were hard to peel. Everything was excellent and the steaks were cooked perfectly. Sticky toffee pudding and maple pie will make us go back!

The Ambiance was amazing..the steak was cooked to perfection..the service was top tier..the sides tho..mediocre at best..the mashed potatoes tasted like instant mashed potatoes and the mushrooms were sub par..I’d visit again I would just get different sides..the wine menu was exquisite..I give the experience a 7/10 …

We are at the restaurant celebrating our anniversary. Upon entering, we’re immediately congratulated by the reception desk and when seated congratulated by the server. The food, general manager, Somalia and server were all outstanding. We had wonderful evening and highly recommend the restaurant. Top Notch.

I'm still in awe of this incredible restaurant and can't believe I hadn't discovered it sooner! From the moment we walked in, everything was perfect. The hostesses greeted us with warm smiles and our server Oscar went above and beyond to ensure an exceptional dining experience. His attentive service, expert menu guidance and friendly demeanor made us feel right at home. The food was truly outstanding, the steak, burger, oysters and dessert were all mouthwateringly delicious. This hidden gem boasts top notch service, a wonderful atmosphere, and cuisine that will leave you wanting more. I’m definitely coming back.

It was a quiet night probably due to our reservation being in the middle of the Super Bowl. The food was excellent! Very tasty with generous portions. Every course had attention to detail. I was very impressed with the wine list. It has very accessible pricing and some unique gems on there by the glass section. I can’t wait to go back for their Sunday Roast!
