Welcome to Hawksmoor Chicago, where we bring our acclaimed steakhouse experience from the UK to the iconic LaSalle Powerhouse in River North. Our ethos is simple: ‘Buy the best and let it shine.’ We serve all-natural, pasture-reared, dry-aged beef from US family-run farms, cooked over charcoal and seasoned simply with sea salt. Our seafood, sourced from trusted Northeastern fishermen, is prepared with equal care.

In our 16,500 sq ft space, featuring barrel-vaulted ceilings and touches from the Golden Age of Travel, Hawksmoor is perfect for any occasion. Whether you’re stopping by for cocktails, a casual lunch or a special celebration, we make sure you leave full and happy. We also offer private dining for groups of 10 to full venue buy-outs for 500—ideal for birthdays, anniversaries, weddings and corporate events.

And don’t miss our Sunday Roast: dry-aged beef, beef-dripping potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and bone marrow gravy—something like a Thanksgiving dinner every Sunday.

Sundays at Hawksmoor are all about our Sunday Roast: all-natural, dry-aged, slow-roasted Rump served with crispy beef dripping potatoes, Caraflax cabbage and carrots, gigantic Yorkshire puddings, lashings of bone marrow & onion gravy and the option for a side of cauliflower cheese or slow-roasted bone marrow and onions. Sunday Roast dates back to the 15th century where large joints of meat were roasted on a spit over an open fire; to achieve a similar flavor, we start ours on our charcoal grill and finish them in the oven. Many who've had a Sunday Roast equate it to a Thanksgiving dinner – a comforting, filling meal that is best in the company of loved ones. And, should a Bloody Mary, or two, be consumed alongside it, who are we to judge?

Have you heard of our Monday Wine Club? It’s a simple concept: bring any wine you like – doesn’t matter if it’s a first-growth Bordeaux or a bottle of Barefoot – and we’ll only charge you $10 corkage (for up to two bottles). Not sure what to buy? Take a stroll over to our neighbors at the Aqua Wine & Spirits store (they’re literally on the other side of the street) and they’ll help you choose something to make your meal pop. You can even call us ahead of time and ask one of our somms what they suggest.

Cocktail Hour is kind of a big deal here at Hawksmoor. From 5 till 7pm, Monday to Friday, you can grab one of our world-class cocktails for a cool $12 – and we’re doing our freshly shucked Island Creek oysters for just $2 a pop. Try Chicago’s coldest martini – we serve ours at a bracing 10°f – with spicy Scotch Bonnet Oysters or our Full Fat Old Fashioned with charcoal-roasted bone marrow oysters. The best bit? No reservations required – just swing by when it suits you. Of course, if you’d like to stay for dinner, you can book a table any time.

Overall a good meal, but very expensive for what it was. Our bill was a bit over $900 for 5 people (we had only 1-2 drinks per person). I highly recommend the Cast Iron Filet and Vietnamese Oysters - those were our 2 favorite items. The sides are extremely small and not large enough for more than 1-2 people to share. I personally think there are better steakhouses in the city.

Food was simple but delicious. We split a filet and lobster - both done perfectly with a variety of toppings to choose from. The “chips” aka fries went quickly they were really tasty. We were literally fighting over the desserts a sticky pudding and a tartufo type of thing that was outrageous.

Food was good not great. Fish had a fair bit of bones and steaks were reasonable but wasn’t blown away. Service similarly was good but not great, not very attentive IMO. . For the prices and competition, would probably prioritize somewhere else .

We went for the Sunday roast dinner, food was average at best. We've been to London many times so I understand British food is bland but this was BLAND. Staff was friendly and helpful for the most part. Wine prices are WAY out of line, especially by the glass. The price for sides and desserts is also on the high side, especially for the lackluster quality of the food.

What a refreshing experience to get the Sunday roast. Very interesting and pretty dang good. Only thing is it needed more seasonings but I am assuming that’s how the Britain’s like it

Went for a proper Sunday roast, have been a long-time customer in London, while I lived there. The beef, Yorkshire pudding and all of the fixings were cooked and seasoned absolutely perfectly. Our server was the right amount of attentive and honestly everything was spot on. It lives up the reputation and quality I expect from Hawksmoor. My only complaint is that the pricing in the US for a Sunday Roast ($42) is a touch on the high side in my opinion. Worth it if you only come once in a while or for a special occasion.

The beef was delicious. The server didn't ask if I wanted dessert or anything but water to drink. The sides on the Sunday Roast were kind of bland.

Excellent dining experience at Hawksmoor in Chicago! Great food and service! My wife and I had the Sunday roast and finished with coffee and sticky toffee pudding, very tasty! We were celebrating our anniversary and Heather our server was really on point with our service, she was great. Definitely coming back for sure, nicely done!
