The LaSalle Drive Cable Car Powerhouse is a beautiful, designated landmark, initially opened in 1887, in the heyday of Chicago’s cable car system. We intend to do it justice by restoring the original features to their former glory and, at the same time, breathe new life into the space.

Great service. Steak was good. Do not recommend the 1/2 lobster.. difficult to break into and incredibly messy.

Was a wonderful experience our server Ben was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and helped us navigate it, given this was our first time at Hawksmoor. I highly recommend the Yorkshire pudding starter it was fantastic. The 26oz Chateaubriand was perfect for our party of 3. If you plan on getting any sides while the heirloom tomato salad, mushrooms, and potatoes were all very good the creamed spinach was what I hoped it would be and more. If you save room for dessert definitely get the Grand Rocher and you will not be disappointed

This was my first experience at this restaurant. I am happy to report that the food and service are second to none. The Bar staff and Management went out of their way to make my experience a good one. I will be happy to return here.

I was excited to try this place out, I had high hopes for this London based steak house and their food. The service and staff were wonderful, attentive and accommodating, the ambience was quite lovely (pretty remodel) however, if you are going to be a steakhouse in Chicago, you better bring your A game. I ordered the ribeye rare and it was a terrible cut, overdone and had little taste, my side was the mushrooms Diane, nothing special at all. My boyfriend ordered the NY strip and he said the same thing about his steak. We then preceded to list off other steak houses in town we would send tourists too ahead of them.

The meal of a lifetime! We flew to Chicago specifically to have dinner here and it did not disappoint! Service was impeccable and warm, the meal was incredible and the drinks were addictive. 11/10

We had an AMAZING experience dining at Hawksmoor! The service, especially that from our server, Ben, was beyond excellent. He provided great food recommendations. Everything we ordered was delicious, from the Steelhead Crudo and Vietnamese Oysters, to the Maine Lobster and Ribeye. The Carolina-Spiced Pork-Belly was mouth-watering. The desserts were beyond anything we've had before. The Coconut Rice Pudding was the perfect mix of tartness and sweetness, and the Strawberry Pavlova was exquisite. Every bite was savored. This place is a must try and we cannot wait to go back.
