This summer, we’re offering a main paired with a choice of iconic Hawksmoor salads for just £19.50. Featuring classic Hawksmoor staples, such as 35-day dry aged Rump steak with gentleman’s relish, alongside new dishes like the irresistible charcoal chicken Ana Mari or Chalk stream trout – you can then pick your favourite salad sidekick from a line-up of Hawksmoor Caesar, Heritage tomatoes, English lettuce & herb or Bitter leaf, blue cheese & pecan. Available Monday to Friday for lunch bookings of up to 6 people.

Whilst I'm a self confessed fan of Hawksmoor, this was the reason I selected it to entertain overseas clients. The first time I have hosted a table for ten. In terms of planning the evening the staff where attentive to the requests and choices, so when the evening arrived the food was ordered from one of the sharing menus. The clients could sit back and relax. As regards the wine I was able to choose at my leisure and they where ready and waiting. The sommelier was excellent, knowledgeable and considerate to my requests as a host. The lovely lady who was looking after the table is a credit to Hawksmoor, with one guest being delayed she managed the process with no pressure to serve the food, it worked like clockwork. Whilst she was managing a number of tables she always had an eye on the table and as soon as she had attended to what she was currently doing she was at the table to attend to the party. It was pleasing to see the restaurant so busy for a Monday night which created a wonderful atmosphere, but if you are going to this restaurant after a quiet chat or business dinner you may find it a bit noisy, that said atmosphere does create something special. All in all, the nine guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves, with only positive words, including what a relaxing and wonderful evening, great food and smiles all round, Well done team Hawksmoor for maintaining your standards which have not changed in many years across all the restaurants you have that I have visited.

Our Porterhouse steak was very overcooked and tough in texture. Disappointing for a famed steakhouse in London.

We all had steaks, fillet and sirloin and we can honestly say some of the best beef we have ever eaten. My cheesy mash with Brie melted in was also excellent. Prices are a bit high for the wine, but the food was worth every penny.

The food was good (sweet potatoes could be made with more love and creativity). There was inconsistency in the cooking of the meat. We’ve got the same piece of meat (400g), but my friend’s sirloin (600g) wasn’t as good as ours, which is a shame because of the price point. Also, our waiter wasn’t really good. He was polite, yes, sure, but super pushy and not really knowledgeable. We won’t come back again. There are so many good restaurants in London where you can eat meat at the same price but with excellent service and ambience.

I booked a table at Borough restaurant and dined there yesterday for my partners birthday. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and the service was brilliant along will receiving 2 complimentary liquors however nearly had a heart attack when the bill arrived as we were not aware that the primed steak of 700grams was around £85. If we had known we wouldnt have ordered it. I knew the restaurant would be pricey due to its good food however, not everyone can afford £85 for steak.
