great way to have an annual reunion lunch - looking forward to next year. Very envious of the next door table taking full advantage of the BYOB offer on a Monday. Drinking some great wines

The person at the front desk was extremely rude! They held their index finger up to me while I was speaking, didn’t make eye contact, didn’t acknowledge that I was standing right inform t of them (unless you count sticking their finger up -gesturing me to shut up essentially, acknowledgment of some kind), there wasn’t a hint of a smile either. I can’t have done anything wrong, I literally had just walked through the door. Maybe they took offence to a person with brown skin feeling they could walk through the doors? The waiting staff then rolled their eyes and exhaled in exasperation when the payment card was taken out of the PDQ machine earlier than it should have?! I don’t know what world these people live in where you can’t have the tiniest bit of patience for people who are paying for overpriced food. All they had to do was reinsert the card and process the payment. I was there to celebrate a special occasion with a friend who had travelled from another country. I was given a complimentary pudding, and I appreciate the gesture. And I would’ve credited the staff with this and felt badly about writing a negative review, except of course, they don’t make these decisions. The emails welcoming/reminding you of your upcoming reservation aren’t sent by the person at the front desk or the wait staff, I can’t realistically credit them with having such an idea purely based on the lack of courtesy and good manners I experienced today. So yeah, if you want to taint your visit by rude and entitled staff, sure throw your money here, otherwise, I would recommend any number of good restaurants in the city. P.s. my friend who is white, didn’t have this experience at the front desk. Although, the wait staff that was processing the payment, rolled their eyes and huffed in exasperation, that was all directed at him.

Great unobtrusive but attentive service. Restaurant has a nice atmosphere. The steak was excellent.

Lovely time at Hawksmoor. It was my partners birthday and we asked for no fuss when they asked why we were there but they slyly bought out a cocktail which was lovely. The added touches like remembering who ordered what steak and that we were sharing starters really made a difference. I can’t remember our waitresses name but she was 10/10!

Steaks were amazing , the lobster was perfect and great flavour , sides were really tasty , service was efficient and friendly staff very helpful would 100% go back and recommend to anyone

I booked for my friends birthday and wanted to bring a little cake. I was called before to tell me what to do and in the night the server brought it out on a beautifully presented plate. Also because it was done when looking at the pudding menu, my friend then decided they didn't want one. The server brought out the drinks we had ordered instead AND the pudding my friend had initially wanted. This was just the cherry on top of a wonderful evening with incredible service from start to finish.
