Welcome to Hawkeye & Huckleberry Lounge, where celebrated Chef Brian Malarkey and his brother James bring a slice of their Central Oregon ranching heritage to Bend. Our 'modern cowboy' restaurant & bar with its wood-fired oven, semi-private canvas tent dining, and a vibrant outdoor patio, perfectly embodies Oregon's majestic outdoors.

Our menu, deeply rooted in ranch-to-plate traditions, showcases beef & produce from our nearby Tumalo ranch. With an onsite butcher shop and smoker, we utilize every part of the animal, delivering high-quality steaks and inventive dishes at friendly prices. Favorites include our Happy Hour Texas Toast Smash Burger, Whole Snapper and Beef Tongue Tostadas, all to be enjoyed alongside cocktails, mocktails local beers, and PNW wines.

This place has all the right vibes! Bring it to Portland Metro area, please. Everything about Hawkeye & Huckleberry is fun energy! I make a reservation every time I come to Bend, keep up the great service, quality food, and ambiance.

Cornbread was amazing - the crispy edges maybe the highlight as far as food. Very festive, fun, loud environment. The two top circular metal tables are not comfortable. The pork belly appetizer - too many pieces of the pork belly were really dry (lot of times when you press the belly after the initial cook you can press out too much fat in the drier sections of the belly, but I digress). The actual pork belly dish, besides a few dry parts, the fatty, marbled pieces of pork were awesome. At first I thought what is this? Just raw, unpeeled, diced too big apples with some sliced red chiles and pieces of mint, kind of unrefined. But, with the sauce basically an applesauce all of those flavored worked very well together. The beef fat fries are awesome, fry sauce is awesome, and thank you for Heinz ketchup, appreciate that. The steak sauce is really good, like A1, definitely more sweet (is that pineapple?). My wife and I split a bone in NY, we ordered medium, a quarter came medium the rest was medium rare to blue in parts. Steak, besides being too thin, which makes cooking to a temperature more difficult, was just nothing to write home about. Zero carmelization, outer fat not edible, and just not much flavor. The fried oyster add on was disgusting, oysters are more quahog size and the tartar sauce is just poured all over the oysters served in a cast iron dish. You should never ever serve a fried oyster with tartar sauce like this, ever. No one wants a soggy, enormous oyster. We will definitely be back, there are lots of other things we’d like to try, and we’ll ask for more of a recommendation for a better steak. We’d like to try with a big group, very curious about the whole roasted pig.

This place is amazing in every way. The service is spot on, the atmosphere is the best in Bend and the food is unreal!!!! I will always go there any time I'm in town.

The service and food were amazing! Our waiter Caleb was so friendly and helpful. Will definitely be going back. The atmosphere and overall vibe is great!!

We visited H&H for the first time with a group of friends, a dozen of us all together, to celebrate my birthday. We all had a wonderful time! This is going to be one of my new go to restaurants in Bend for special occasions. I say special occasions because it’s on the pricey side, but absolutely worth it for a special occasion. The food was outstanding with very generous portions. We got a range from the steak sampler to chicken marsala, mushroom pizza and a couple of appetizers. We loved every single dish. The cocktails were yummy too, everyone loved what they ordered! I don’t think a single person was disappointed. The service was very good and the staff was super nice and accommodating. And to top it off, there was a live trio playing that evening, “Shine”, that we had never heard before. The music was top notch and we stayed until 10:30!

Very busy, a bit loud, excellent service for our group of 9, all delish except one mushroom item designed to complement a steak, a big fail, every other item was excellent

Amazing food and excellent service!! Truly a great experience and we are looking forward to dining here again soon. This was our first time and the word of mouth was very true about the restaurant

Everything was excellent!!! Awesome food. The only minor suggestion is this; For the “steak fried steak” and the “hamburger steak”, it would be great to be able to order these “medium rare” or “well done”. We were told they come “as is”. Rather strange. Anyway, everything tasted yummy, portions were more than adequate and we loved everything!!!!!
