Off the record, Hawk ’N’ Dove is basically a Washington monument. It reflects an older Washington that believed in politics, not just politicking. Hawk ’N’ Dove is where you can sip an Old Fashioned, hear political talk, and mingle with everyone from the black-suited, brown-shoed lobbyists, to the neighborhood folk that have been in this town since the Carter administration. Our beverages and food selections reflect our local support for this wonderful town, and if you use your imagination, you can almost hear the echo of past conversations from the most powerful people in the free world, spoken over gin and whiskey.

Very safe atmosphere inside and very spaced apart. Drinks were served quickly and the staff was extremely respectful.

Not doing enough to enforce the Covid dining rules. They have customers walking all over the restaurant without masks on. Also, the bartender/waiter was rude and ignored us for most of our visit. It was if he was mad all night. Very, very disappointed.

The drinks can be a little strong at times, but the food is definitely worth it -- there is something for everybody!

It was nice. The lady that served us was very nice and got our orders right (always a plus). Loved the mumbo wings and pimento cheese spread w pita. Great happy hour.
