Since 1938, Hattie’s has served fine Southern and Louisiana cuisine in a friendly, downhome
atmosphere, earning legions of fans for the past 85 years. Over its long history,
Hattie’s has provided consistent commitment to its customers, staff, and community
across several locations in the Capital Region of New York. Currently, customers can
enjoy the Hattie’s experience at the original restaurant in Downtown Saratoga Springs,
a quick service offering in Wilton Plaza, and a seasonal location at the Saratoga
RaceTrack and now at the Historic Lombardos landmark in Albany!

I am giving Hattie’s 5 ⭐️ for delicious fried chicken, great ribs and tasty sides. The service was attentive and prompt. The space is beautifully renovated and comfortable. They just opened in May and seem to be off to a slow start. I would encourage people to support Hattie’s! It was a great place to eat on a Friday night before a concert at the Palace!!

After five visits, I enthusiastically recommend Hattie's. From arrival to departure, the service is highly customer oriented & professional. The ambiance & decor transport you from Albany NY to a cozy New Orleans cafe. The food is consistently outstanding; shrimp & grits, chicken & waffles, Jasper's mac & cheese & the chicken livers are favorites, but there are many more options. Overall, a wonderful experience.

Went for the Brunch. We chose the Poached Eggs served over biscuits, real crab cakes and a light application of Hollandaise Sauce. A generous serving of home fries were also on the plate. We shared a Peach & Blueberry Cobbler. The food was excellent and our server, Karen, was helpful snd friendly. We did not have a long wait for anything. There are many more menu items to explore. So I come back to try them.

This was our first visit to Hattie’s and it was wonderful! The restaurant has a lovely ambiance, the staff are friendly and professional, and the food was excellent! We enjoyed the best hush puppies we have ever had, followed by dinners of fried chicken with collard greens and cheesy grits and jambalaya. All were savory, well seasoned, and delicious. The fried chicken was shatteringly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Our server, Chyna, was delightful. At the end of our meal the chef came out and asked how the food was. A nice personal touch that was much appreciated. We gave him high praise! We will surely return! Thank you!

Gumbo and Fried Green Tomatoes for appetizer. Chicken with grits, sprouts, and greens for entrees. Food was fantastic and service was better. Unexpected road work closed the street in front of the restaurant, so staff contacted us unbidden and gave us an alternate route to the parking lot. Amazing. That’s going above and beyond. We will obviously be back.

Apps were remarkable Chicken is still award winning. Jambalaya was amazing, shrimp and Grits was fabulous and braised short ribs were outstanding Can’t wait to go back.

First time at the Albany location and we had a terrific dinner with friends. Great menu and all of our choices were excellent!

We greatly enjoyed our first visit to Hattie's. We both had the chicken and waffles and there was nothing left on the plate afterwards. Chynna was a fabulous server and we were greeted at the start by a very friendly young man. We'll be back.
