Hartley Kitchen & Cocktails is an American restaurant and gathering place with a warm spirit and deep-rooted soul. Here, simplicity meets handsome design, thoughtful service, and great taste. With an open floor plan between the bar, lounge, and dining room, the restaurant is buzzing and bustling with energy from morning coffee to the final nightcap. So disappointed. We ubered here as we were staying down by Centennial Park as the menu looked amazing. It was Loud. Only one other couple there. Took over 15 minutes to get my cocktail. Son ordered the chicken and it was so dry. I got the scallops—three of them—the pea risotto was good. We totally skipped dessert. Music was way too loud that we had a difficult time talking. Maybe it’s better to stay on the bar side. Server disappeared and had to ask for our check and someone else helped us.

I ordered the beef tenderloin filet and it was lovely. Medium rare, just the way I like it. The potatoes, broccolini, fois gras jus and black truffle butter married the whole dish together. They also have a decent wine selection. My only gripe was that it took about 15-20 minutes to get my first cocktail. But the rest of the service was perfect.

When we arrived and sat down at first I thought the food was expensive but I was wrong when I saw the portion size. Our waiter was great and the food was perfect.

This was second time going to Hartley for breakfast. We have enjoyed everything we’ve eaten there. The service was spotty the first time, but it was great this time. I’m sure we will be back.

We stayed here at the beautiful Kimpton and had a really good breakfast. So we went back for dinner with a party of 5. We were the only ones in the restaurant and ordered a burger, salads, steak, and a few drinks. Like I said, we were the only table seated in the restaurant, although there were a couple people at the bar on the other side… Our server was unattended and he never asked us if we wanted refills on any drinks and they also screwed up the order. I don’t know if it was our server or the kitchen, but my husband asked for his steak to be well done with a char, and our friend asked for his burger to be as rare as they can make it… They mixed those two meats up and pretty much overcooked to the burger, and the steak was still bleeding, which was not the plan. the only table in there you would think we’d have quicker service or be more tended to, but it just was not the case. Breakfast was a win. Our server was great! But dinner just did not hit the same… Would not recommend until they get new staff in there

During both experiences (drinks/app at the bar and then again at brunch), there was a surplus of staff, but no one actually working. We had to ask multiple times for our server to come back to our table for another round of mimosas and water refills. The manager on duty was also quite rude to his staff. At one point, he saw us asking for our server and instead of assiting himself, he looked the other way and pointed at us seeming to direct our server to go over to our table. The entire staff was hanging out in front of the kitchen the majority of the time (at least 5 of them) and when they weren't, they were switching out place settings. What was most upsetting is we were the only table there (two of us) and there was another table of two. For a Kimpton, the level of service was not acceptable and as an employee of IHG, who works on the Kimpton brand, I was mortified by the standard of service based on the price point of the restaurant. I will not be going back or recommending.
