   We were quickly greeted with a warm welcome & smile. We had a lovely table, the staff were friendly, informative & courteous all evening. We had a super starter of Calamari and Main courses of Fish Pie and Crab Linguine, both excellent. A great wine list too! We loved the atmosphere, the history of the building. It was a great night. Ours was a very short visit to Exeter. Harry’s is all the excuse we need to return.

   Great food and friendly service. Loved the beef carpaccio. Made a good cocktail as well

   Perfectly cooked steak ‘Medium Rare’ but for the second time here it lacked any taste. A very bland chunk of meat which is a waste of meat. If out wasnt for the peppercorn sauce, there’s no reason why I couldn’t make this at home. The side of creamy mash was over microwaved on the edges but perfect inside. Ambiance and service was awesome with the restaurant giving my wife a complimentary birthday dessert. Overall we paid over £80 for peppercorn sauce. Steaks need more seasoning. Bland meal, great staff.

   Hi, Mark. Thanks for taking the time to leave a review for us. We're saddened to hear you didn't enjoy your steak. As you can see, this isn't the norm for us. We tend to rest and season our steaks in oil, salt and herbs before searing and grilling it over open charcoals for a lovely, smoky taste, so the fact this didn't translate is very disappointing.    Lovely Mother's Day lunch, the lamb especially was superb and the rhubarb and custard creme brulee was really delicious. Harry's never disappoints!
