Tucked away in an old cobbled yard between Cannon Street and Bank stations, Harry's Bar & Dining Room has a great atmosphere and prides itself on the quality of its food, wine and service, being professional yet friendly. Offering a fine British/Modern European cuisine the menu includes dishes such as new season Smoked Salmon Gravlax, or Seared Venison Loin Harry's Bar is renowned for the quality and freshness of the ingredients and, in particular, the char-grilled Scottish fillet steaks which are always a winner! A little gem in the City, smart yet homely surroundings and faultless service, and a very easy place to feel comfortable in.

Such a beautifully decorated pub in the middle of the City of London. Ability to be indoors and downstairs or there is seating upstairs outside if the weather is nice. Menu is nice but limited. Salad starters were tasty, duck main was a bit dry and the chocolate dessert was nice. Overall great atmosphere with friendly service.

Hidden gem in the city of London if you're looking for a quality brasserie that's great value! Team dinner or taking clients out for lunch couldn't recommend a better place!

We had drinks outside to begin with. All very nice. We were shown to our table and served drinks and food. We were served, what we thought, was complimentary bread, as we didn’t order it. Dinner was lovely. We were asked if we wanted to order dessert. One of the desserts was served with béarnaise sauce instead of custard. After this point, the service was awful. We waited a long time for the replacement. Then only custard was brought and not a new crumble, that had béarnaise sauce on it. After that we waited an hour to see a member of staff. We were going to have another drink, but in the end just went to the bar to pay. That is when we realised we were also being charged for bread we did not request. Our evening started well, but ended awfully. We won’t be back.

Hi, further to your review we are pleased to hear you enjoyed your dinner, albeit not the entire evening. We have now had the chance to speak to the manageress serving you, who remembers you well as you seemed very happy with everything and was upset and very surprised to hear the contents of your review. To clarify re the bread, this is included in the cover charge of £2.00 per person. We sincerely apologise for the unfortunate mistake with the custard, however, our manageress clearly remembers bringing a new plate of crumble and custard. Our staff circulate consistently so we are surprised that you say you waited an hour for service, which would be highly unusual.

I’d read some very good reviews so I was somewhat disappointed. The table was for 2 was tucked away with one other larger table. Once that table was taken the noise level was too loud probably due to it being a basement bar and restaurant. The menu was nice but the quality and presentation of the food was mediocre. Of particular note was the rocket on the main dish which looked limp and old. Reminded me of a Davy’s or Balls Brothers bar/restaurant. It was OK but I wouldn’t rush back.

Hi Sue, we are sorry to hear you were disappointed which is very unusual in contrast with our other reviews. Our fresh ingredients are purchased on a daily basis but will definitely mention to the Chef regarding the rocket to ensure our standards are kept up. Quieter tables can be requested at point of booking, however many customers do enjoy the general ambiance of the bar area.
