Harold Seltzer's Steakhouse uses traditional family recipes to prepare their aged hand cut steaks, prime rib, lamb, Danish baby back ribs and chicken. The restaurant also offers an assortment of soups, salads, pasta, seafood and desserts, in addition to their made from scratch bread rolls, salad dressings, and sides served alongside and included with the meals. This casual diner-style 'old school steakhouse'restaurant has a warm cozy environment. Customers may choose between indoor and outdoor seating options. There is a proper bar area at Harold Seltzer's Steakhouse where the complementing wines, beer and cocktails are served.

The Harold Seltzer's Steakhouse menu is generally dominated by steaks. After hearing that this local landmark was closing we decided to give the venerable Harold Seltzers a shot. Disappointed is the result. For a dinner for 2 when you spend $150.00 has a certain level of expectation and they were not met. We started with sharing a Shrimp Cocktail. The shrimp seemed fresh but the cocktail sauce was bland (a word you will read often here) We moved to the salad course with a side salad and a Cesar salad. The Cesar lacked Parmesan cheese and the dressing was flat. None of that tang that you expect. Once again, very bland . Entree-wise, we ordered the 2lb Prime Rib and the 9 oz Filet Mignon. Let me say that the prices for those two entrees are VERY reasonable. But you get what you pay for. The prime rib while cooked almost perfectly, it was tasteless. There was no crust, no spices that you could taste. Even the creamy horseradish sauce had ZERO bite or flavor and was watery. It wouldn’t cling to my bites and was drippy. Bottom line is that even if it wasn’t closing, I wouldn’t be back. I am very disappointed. I won’t even get into our server, who was hard to find and rarely checked on us. I wish the owner well but perhaps it IS time to retire.

Meal was fantastic. Our server was ok, very slow, rude, snapped at customers because she was so busy, making sure they all knew due to restaurant closing, she was without a job, which took away the pleasure of the meal. I got the special, prime rib, which was excellent. We did have to remind our server we had not gotten our salads yet, when she brought main entrees out, Have been coming to this restaurant for over 20 years, never had a bad meal here, and am sorry it's closing due to owner's retirement. It was a nice touch that he stopped at every table, thanking people for coming out and dining here.

Great food & service!! Sorry to see this icon closing later this month:(!! Thank you to Harold and staff who have fed us and served us so well for all the many years we’ve been visiting the area. This will be a hard act to follow for anyone that tries! Happy retirement Harold!!

The meal was fantastic when we finally got it. Server was about a 3 or 4, not very fast, rude because she was so busy, and because restaurant is closing, kept complaining to customers she was out of a job, and would get to them when she could. Food was fantastic, but received our entrees before we had to remind our server we had not even gotten our salads yet. Have been to this establishment many times before, always have had great food, and am very sorry to see it close.

Great if you’re over the age of 50. Pretty good value steak was all right. Do you got anything else to say beefs anything else to say I’m doing voice to text right now so I’m asking my girlfriend when she thinks if you like grilled steaks if you like steaks hi guys if you have any more questions, just feel to respond. Waitress knowledgeable, food cooked as requested, Harold Seltzer or a Manager checks each table, drinks are well made. Overall a great dining experience.
