Harold Black is a warm, intimate bar that is quiet enough to hear your conversation yet lively enough to keep you talking. A list of house cocktails gives you a range of options, additionally, the bartenders are ready to work their magic if you have something else in mind. Harold Black serves a light-fare menu with a selection of cured meats, cheeses and desserts. Please be aware of a few house rules: 1. We look forward to having you join us and are happy to hold your table for up to fifteen minutes. 2. Your booking reserves your seats for 2 hours. 3. Due to our small size we cannot guarantee booth seating. 4. Our maximum party size is six people, no exceptions, and unfortunately we cannot book multiple tables for one group. Such a great experience! My son, his gf & I came for drinks & dessert for Mothers Day. My fave dessert is the panna cotta with passion fruit purée. It’s fabulous! Stellar service, food, vibe!

We are not unfamiliar with Harold Black. The space has potential. Our server was great. Our cocktails were unfortunately so-so. Of all the classics we ordered , the Aviation was the only one that was close to being true to what it should be. The Japanese Cocktail, and NY Sour were both too citrus-heavy. We were also seated next to a trio of young patrons who took photography with flash on nonstop. We were bombarded with loud screams and flash going off every few seconds. So that particular experience wasn’t great. Given that 1 out of 6 cocktails was decent, we are unlikely to return.

Good food and good cocktails. A little bit noisy, but not unreasonable for a bar. Nice atmosphere

This was my second visit and I must say my first visit was much better. The noise level was extremely high, the service was slow, and the food wasn't great. I am hoping this was a one-off because I thought I found a gem.

Too loud, too dark, very limited menu. Would not return. We ended eating upstairs where the food was very salty.

Dining at Harold Black was an extraordinary experience. Finding the building was a bit confusing which had another restaurant name on it. We whispered to the host “is this Harold Black?”. We were escorted through the upstairs restaurant to the stairs leading to HB. It was pretty dark as they used candles at each table. The tables were close but still enough to have a private conversation. The food- EXCELLENT! We ordered the meatballs, shrimp, and fries. It was so delicious! The menu is limited but chef kiss to the food.

Its not exactly a "speak easy" as much as a bar in the basement with no special entrance at all. The vibes and ambiance are really cool, especially if you like the dark. Our drinks were great, service was fine but waiter was meh. Only got a couple of apps and they were good!
