I’m not really one for leaving reviews but the difference in service, atmosphere and general sense of hospitality between London’s Park Lane and Piccadilly Hard Rock Café restaurants is so considerable, I’m making a point of leaving one now. As a family, we visited the Park Lane restaurant and had a really lovely time; great atmosphere, the staff were friendly, engaging and attentive and it felt like a really fun, family restaurant with great food. A really nice dining experience, which I’d recommend. We had a family dinner last night for my son’s birthday at the Piccadilly restaurant - completely different experience. Service was so slow, and staff did the ‘classic thing’ of seeming to deliberately avoid eye contact when you tried to get their attention, or redirecting you to a different colleague. We had dinner, my brother turned up later and was told he couldn’t order a glass of wine at our table without himself ordering food, and was advised to go sit at the bar. This was obviously a ridiculous suggestion as we were dining together as a family so he ordered a starter. When he later asked to order a second glass of wine, he was told he needed to order a main course. Absolutely bizarre, not least because others of us had just ordered starters or salads and had been served a second glass of wine. We ordered dessert and as it was my son’s birthday, I’d bought candles to place in his dessert. When I walked over to the waiter who was at the pass collecting the dessert to give him the candles, one of the managers literally took hold of my arm and said I couldn’t be near there. I responded by saying that I understood but not to touch me, and he just repeated the direction and almost squared up to me. It was very aggressive, unpleasant and just seemed a completely disproportionate reaction to the situation. The waiter appeared rather flustered, apologised and took the candles and said he’d put them in my son’s dessert and I walked away. Completely soured the evening.

perfect night out - excellent server Ivan looked after us superbly for a special birthday treat for my daughter. food was lovely drinks service very speedy and all round excellent early evening meal.

The displays on the walls are fantastic for the rock lovers. It is worth visiting this place just to see these. The food is good but too much volume for we Japanese. Most of us could not eat it all. Suggest to share the plates. The prices are overpriced as in all London restaurants. The service is not bad, they try to look after you but the bar service, bringing the beers were a bit slow.

Not one of the best experiences I have had on my many visits. Food and atmosphere was as good as always but we were neglected a bit by our waiter. Our main courses were bought out before we had finished our starter, then to try and order another drink was a nightmare. We had no cutlery replaced for our main course and no serviettes either. Just very poor. The only time he was attentive was when we were paying our bill. Felt a bit disappointed this time.

Great server we had (Dylan) made us all feel welcome and recommended dishes for us as well. Daughters 21st birthday 🎂 and they sang to her. Will definitely be back
