The food was excellent quality and very well presented. However the portions were rather small. The menu stated roasted vegetables and in fact there was one carrot which was roasted and one piece of broccoli. There was a small dauphinois potato portion. The interior of the harbour inn was surprising and not like a pub at all and lacking a bit of ambience. It took quite a while to be seated with staff looking at us standing by the doorway and just ignoring us for some time while they went about their business. A simple ‘we will be with you in a moment’ wouldn’t have gone amiss. Overall we enjoyed the meal but if these other points could be dealt with, it would make for a better experience

This was a celebration for my wife's 80th birthday with our family and the whole evening turned out fabulous. The food was terrific from the fish of the day to the bouillabaisse and the steak, the atmosphere was great and the service impeccable - what more could you want ?

Overall we had a good experience. Our starter (mushroom arancini) was a bit dry and could have done with a sauce. The catch of the day turned out to be cod! The chocolate mousse was too big, with two biggish pieces of brownie sticking out (you are warned it comes with this on the menu to be fair) and indifferent cream. What spoilt the meal was the very noisy group dining behind us.

Excellent food in a very casual setting. I had the fish pie and it was crammed full of fish unlike others I have had recently in other places. My husband had the pork belly which he thoroughly enjoyed. The service was good and I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

We were a party of 4 and 2 had the roast beef and the other 2 had the belly of pork. Very high quality meat. The only negative was using shop-bought apple sauce rather than chef's own. Great selection of beers too.

Food only okay, fish pie had a lot of potato on. Not worth £20. Roast beef only served very pink

It’s not the first time we have been here & we wanted a place to have a wedding anniversary dinner & it seemed the ideal place! Whilst my steak was slightly overcooked, it was still very tender. Our only complaint was the fact they can’t afford & don’t offer wifi, very strange in this day & age. People like to post that they are visiting a place & this couldn’t be done until after we had left; by then some people wouldn’t bother! I think they’re missing out on a trick!! We would probably visit again but they need to get with the 21st century!

Booked for 18:15 on Saturday evening when the place was just filling up. The service was first class and our drinks arrived within a few minutes. The food order didn't take long either and it was delicious. (We chose the catch of the day) Dessert followed and that didn't disappoint either. We will come again when in the area.
