Welcome to Harbor Lights! For over 50 years we have been a staple in the Tacoma community. A rustic atmosphere that sits on the shore of Commencement Bay with scenic views providing the quintessential Northwest dining experience. Harbor Lights joined the Anthony's family on April 29th, 2000 after being the dream of Anton Barcott, an immigrant from Yugoslavia. On January 26, 1959 Anton opened Harbor Lights among the lumber mills and shipyards along the waterfront. We are well known for serving large portions of seafood such as the two pound bucket of steamed clams and have a loyal following of wonderful guests!

I would like to start by saying my husband and I have stayed home for many years and made our Valentine’s Day dinner together. But this year I chose to surprise him by making reservations. When we arrived we were seated quickly. Our waitress took 15 mins to bring us water and bread. We were sitting in a small area with 6 small tables total, everybody was served their food first including the 2 couples who arrived after us . We never received the appetizer we ordered We waited over an hour to get our food and when we did it was shocking. Our food was room temperature and my husband’s steak was terrible. When my husband tried to speak to her to ask a question she just walked right past him. I understand that the special holiday makes the night very busy, but it was a combination of many disturbing things throughout our experience that make this a 2 star experience.Needless to say, My husband and I will just play it safe next year and stay home.

One can never go wrong with this place. It is somewhat old school. I refer to it as “The Supper Club on the Water”. They never disappoint. The food is top notch. The baked potatoes even stand out amongst the competition. The service is unparalleled. Very good value, as well.

We had a very fun night. Good friends and good food. We closed the restaurant down and had a wonderful time.

This is a great seafood place. I haven't ever ordered beef here before, but I would imagine it would be just as well prepared. I ordered a limited time Alaskan halibut filet. It came with steamed broccoli and wild rice pilaf. It was out of this world! Tender, flaky, moist. I enjoyed it until the very end. My wife had Shrimp Louie, with additional crab, and she loved it as well. This is one of our go-to restaurants for special occasions. We went early for Valentines Day, as we don't like the crowds and had a very relaxing time on the water. Our waiter was especially attentive. I appreciated all the extra efforts they made.

We sat at 6:30, had our usual martini and just relaxed; the staff was busy as the place was filled. Ordered our meal about 7 so we were in between seatings. Ordered the Petrale Sole and Fish and Chips, both were excellent! Can't beat Harbor Lights! You can dress up or down

Food was outstanding, as usual. Service was not. Nancy H did not smile once at us, brusquely set dishes/bill down on the table, didn't clear empty plates, and was pointedly unpleasant. There were four of us having dinner, and we could not figure out what we had done to make her dislike us. Nancy was friendly with the tables around us, but she did not like us. My husband said from the minute we sat down she was rude. Bad service can really affect the enjoyment of the evening. We eat at Habor Lights often, and hope we don't get seated in Nancy's section again.

Our reservation was for our Anniversary. I stated that in the comments. Our host, bus boy, and server who asked if we’d like a candle lit were awesome & friendly. Our server, on the other hand, was dismissive, unfriendly & cold. Maybe she was having an “off day”, but she shouldn’t bring that to work. She made us feel like a number——was not personal at all! Just sad. Our dinner & drinks were otherwise amazing!
