Excellent experience at Hanks. Russell was a wonderful server, precise, present and unobtrusive, and a bit quirky (he made the meal and experience better and fun). The first table we were seated at was cramped close to another table of two and the restaurant was not full and I made reservations as it was a special occasion. Russell improved the awkward seating and gave us a complimentary glass of champagne to celebrate. After we were moved to a more suitable table that offered a slight measure of privacy so we could converse. The appetizer and champagne were marvelous. Oysters were the app and Mumm the champagne. Excellent selection of fish in Columbus Ohio, but a poor showing of the raw bar. Hardly any fish (maybe none), few large shrimp, one crab claw. Odd because this is billed as a seafood place and highlight the raw bar. I ordered grouper and it was excellent fish, perfectly prepared. However the rice it was put on was cold and the fish was hot. Odd. Overall it was a great meal. Concerned about seating if I chose to dine again at Hanks. And why was the rice cold????

Highly recommend! With a knowledgeable server who has the accompanying vernacular required to discuss such exquisite foods, an experience at Hank’s makes it is easy to see reasons why this truly is a good life!

Incredible seafood cooked to perfection and service was top notch too. Grouper was amazing, highly recommend.

We had a wonderful experience at Hank’s last night. It was our first visit but will not be our last. Our server, Alexander, could not have been any more helpful and professional without being intrusive. We loved Alexander. I had She-crab soup as did my wife and it was superb. I had the shrimp and grits and my wife had scallops which we found to be excellent. When Alexander heard it was my wife’s birthday, he brought us a humongous piece of carrot cake to take home since we were too full to have dessert there. Thank you so much for a fantastic evening.

Food was excellent and our server Russell was quite attentive and personable. Great experience as we celebrated our anniveresary with another couple ALSO celebrating their anniversary.

Hank's is a lovely restaurant. It's quite large and was fairly busy when we were there early on a Tuesday evening. The menu is heavily seafood, which should be expected as it is advertised as a "low-country" restaurant, but there were several dishes for those of us that aren't seafood eaters --- cod, tuna, salmon, etc. We tried both salads and both were good and pretty large. I had the tuna tartare "small plate" (without the jalapeno). It was quite small an the tuna was very fresh but didn't have a lot of taste. The pepper would probably have helped. One person in our party had the crabcakes and said they were very good. All three of the folks that ate the calamari said it was excellend --- one said it was the best she'd ever had. The mussels were said to be average althoug the broth it was in was good, but would have been better had it been served warmer. The restaurant was on the expensive side; but not any more than we expected. We all said that we'd go there again and try some of the other menu items.

We Loved this place! The She crab soup was perfection. As was most everything we tried tonight. We will definitely be back for more. Lovely, attentive staff and very nice ambience. Hats off to the entire staff. Well done.
