Best Shecrab soup I’ve ever had! Peach Mint tea was delicious- loads of mint !!

The food is amazing, but if you want high end service, and anyone paying attention to your table, don’t have any expectations!

We enjoyed raw oysters, steamers and peel and eat shrimp for starters. We can recommend these as well as the Scallop and Seafood ala Wando (served in a lovely light cream saffron sauce). Martinis were spot on and the ambiance is posh. Very nice restaurant with good hospitality and service.

Having dined there several times, I was disappointed this time. The atmosphere has slowed. Not as vibrate as it has been - bar was empty on Saturday evening, restaurant was half empty. Food was average and crab cake was totally different. I was almost embarrassed we brought our friends. Saving grace - server was great!

The food and my server Russel were AMAZING. However this was a spur of the moment reservation for us and we were Slightly under dressed. Upon arriving at 8:59 for our 9:00 reservation we were stood on the side of the host stand for 15 minutes. Upon finally getting seated. We are sat at an impromptu table directly beside the kitchen. All we could hear was the dishes clanking in the kitchen as the door swang. We passed soooo many open tables before being placed at the BACK of the restaurant. When we asked our awesome server if we could be moved he graciously went and got he hostess. Who told us that there weren’t really any other tables, even though we had physically seen and passed many of them on the way to the back of the restaurant which once again we were on time for our reservation, we end up being sat in the front, not even in the dining area in the lounge area by the bar However, our waiter Russell was amazing and made up for everything as well as the awesome food

Wonderful ambience and great food. Have always wanted to go to the Hanks in Charleston and now we have them here in Columbus. Very excited and not disappointed.

We are regular patrons of Hanks in Charleston. No comparison. 4 of us seated at a six person booth next to the waiter control center. The acoustics in the dining room are nasty. You cannot hold a conversation at the table. Add the clatter of dishes and chatter from the staff and it was a poor experience. Our waiter was less than attentive and the wait time for our courses was excessive. Our meals were ok but not extraordinary. It took a month in advance to get a 7.00 booking. We may return to Hanks in Charleston but the southern experience has not been duplicated in Columbus Ohio. Thanks T

Unfortunately the flavors were just not there. The onions were undercooked in our oyster soup, the tomato sauce with my scallops was bitter and not savory, and my husband’s swordfish was overcooked and the flavors did not sit well.
