My son and I ate at HW's for the first time after an Illinois football game. The food, we both had the 14 oz. ribeye, was very good. Cooked perfectly. My son had the lobster bisque soup and I the house salad with blue cheese crumbles. Both excellent. Along with the steak, I had the crispy potatoes croquettes. Also very good. So, the meals were very good, the ambiance was very good, but what really stood out was the service, outstanding. I couldn't give HW's an outstanding across the board as they aren't quite up to the same standards as a Morton's or The Capital Grille. However, HW's is fine dining and well worth the price.

This restaurant is amazing every time we dine here. Nate is an amazing GM Zach is an exquisite chef. Roland was a wonderful drink coneesiur martinis were amazing. Food was of great quality. Can’t wait for our next visit.

Great service from a Katie and the manager is a true professional with customers. Husband's salmon was good. Sent back my scallops because the chef ruined high-quality scallops by over seasoning. Replaced them but were still salty (and I like salt).

Food was fantastic, service was awesome. Jack was particularly wonderful. Funny, kind, and exceptionally helpful. An asset to your establishment! We will definitely be back!

It was fine- service was slow. Overpriced for what it was but the manager tried to make it up with free deserts.

Overall it was a nice restaurant. The food quality wasn’t great, had good flavor but the cut of meat was very fatty and had a lot of gristle . I feel like I overpaid for the quality that I received. I may or may not be back. I do a lot of travel, and this place is on the low end of upper scale restaurants! They definitely could do better for what the cost is. They want to be classy but they aren’t there yet.

The atmosphere and services was great. We enjoyed the Res Wine BBQ Chicken and Fish n Chips. Steak Pasta was a little flat on flavor. Open Table lists this place at $30 and under. Very few options are under $30 so we were not expecting to pay as much as we did for dinner.

Second time we’ve been there. Both times I reserved the dining room and we were seated in the bar. When I asked why, they aggressively and showed me I’m an unfriendly way an iPad telling me I made a bar reservation. I’ve made hundreds of reservations on open table and this has never happened. And now it’s happened twice at HW. Irritating! The the food. On our first visit, I ordered the bone in strip steak medium rare. I was brought a steak that looked nothing like a bone in strip and it was well done. They did remake it at my request, but by the time I got it, my family was finished, the sides were cold, and our bottle of wine was gone. This visit, it happened again. our friend ordered the filet and received 2 small pieces of over cooked meat. They remade it, but like our first time, everyone else was finished with their meals, the sides were cold, and our wine was finished. Both these times our night out sucked because of this. What’s really irritating is there was Never an offer of a glass of wine or even taking care of the cost of the messed up steak for their mistakes. They acted as if this is perfectly ok to expect at this restaurant and we just needed to be on with that.
