The Halls Gap Hotel offers a range of services to suit every customer at any time of the year. During the warmer months you can take in the spectacular views of the ranges, over a refreshing drink, from the large and sheltered outdoor deck that wraps around the public bar and our large family bistro. In the colder months our warm log fires are lit to keep you comfortable over an intimate meal in the bistro.

For the kids we have a play area inside and a playground outside, both viewable from your bistro dining table.

A few months ago, we went to the halls gap hotel, and they were booked out but still seated myself and my partner at a bar table in the bistro area. The service was fantastic, and food was delicious and was served very quickly. The atmosphere was great, with a beautiful wood fire in the centre of the bistro, and all staff were very friendly and welcoming. And although the place was packed, it appeared very quiet and relaxing. Tonight, we went there again with our 2 kids and the experience was just as great, although we booked this time! There’s also a kids play area which is excellent if you have an energetic 4 year old like us! Would highly recommend this place to all. You won’t be disappointed!

Great place for families. We loved the play area as we have younger kids 3 and 7 years of age. It kept them entertained. The setting is stunning. We sat near the window which overlooked the beautiful nature of halls gap, lots of kangaroos to look at. Our meals were ok.

We've been regular diners over the years but have noted a slight decrease in the quality and variety of meals being offered. Our last experience was an hour wait for our main, no entree ordered. It was busy but not like we've seen it at other times with all seating full. The root vegetables ( Potatoes & Turnips?) on one dish were virtually uncooked pork was dry, the other meal, beef was very nice but potato mash was basic and vegetables minimal. Hoping it can improve as its a terrific setting/location.

Customer service was lacking. Waited almost 5 mins to be greeted & seated at the door, even though 3 staff were observed chatting. Service fee charged on all card transactions including savings. Bar did not have standard drink choices we wanted. Meals were promptly served and were decent portions. My family are semi regulars here but will think twice coming back due to lack of customer service under new management.

Great family meals. A little expensive for what they were but understand it’s a tourist destination and quite isolated. Kids menu had a great range. Loved the wood fireplaces. Would go back again

Amazing meals, it seemed a little expensive but once we got them we found they were worth it, we left full and all food was very tasty.
