Bus stop is located in Rame which is a 5/10 min walk to The Halfway House. This is all accessible via a well lit footpath. The frequent U4 & L3 (summer season) services call here, These run every hour between Falmouth & Penzance via the university, Helston, Porthleven, Praa Sands & Marazion/St Michael's Mount (U4), & between Truro & Helston (L3)

Food delicious what let it down was service Was fine to start then had to ask twice for more drinks as girl serving us went home Then no one came to take desert order

Website advertises carvery on Wednesday and Sunday it does not make it clear that is for lunch only. Disappointed my guests chose from the set evening menu. The food was disappointing too.

Lovely lunch with friends. Slight mistake with our order which was quickly dealt with. Excellent staff and atmosphere and the food great as always.

Disappointing experience- felt like we had arrived mid shift. Food was average and seemed more like left overs on carvery. Staff were very varied in how helpful they were and as our table was just inside the door it felt like we never actually’arrived’ in the pub for our meal

5 ate for dinner at 8pm on a Tuesday. Food was mainly very good. Service was friendly and excellent. Washrooms were very clean. Decent value. A bit quiet with few other customers. Maybe that's due to timing.

Car park was good; plenty of space, and easily accessible off the main road. Facilities were good, and we were quickly shown to our table. No complaints about service. My wife enjoyed the butternut squash, but I was disappointed with the fish pie - there didn't seem to be much haddock in it! The payment process wasn't good. I wasn't given an itemised bill, just an overall figure, which seemed rather high compared with the menu prices - maybe the drinks were very expensive. And I don't like card machines which pressure me into paying a tip. I did give a tip for good service, and I didn't ask for details, because it was my wife's birthday treat, and I didn't want her thinking I was fussing about money!

The meal took a long time to be served. We were eventually told about the delay and offered a free round of drinks. When the meals did come out both the lasagnes were overdone and portions were on the small side.

We booked the table for 6.30pm, was shown to our table and was told the waitress will be with you to take your order in a couple minutes. 15 minutes later my partner went to the bar and got our drinks sat back down another 15 minutes laters I said that’s it I’m leaving, went to the bar handed back the menu and said to the waitress what an awful way to be treated. A senior member of staff asked what our problem was so I explained what had happened her reply was sorry !!!!! That’s it, well Halfway House Rame have some training in Customer service and People skills. There was other people sat in the window complaining but I won’t sit in silence…. Shan’t be returning neither.
