Our owner, Chef Richard Hales a four generation Tampa family since 1954, is back in his hometown of Tampa after 25 years away mastering Asian cuisine, opening award winning restaurants and appearing on the Food Network; beloved by the likes of Guy Fieri. Our seasonal menu features Asian techniques using the fi nest ingredients and availability of locally sourced produces. Chef Hales’ invites you to experience eclectic ambiance, elevated service and his version of Chinese cuisine.

My wife and I had a great experience coming here, and it was the right decision for my wife's birthday. Waiters, waitress, managers they were all on point from start to end with service. I didn't have to ask twice in most places. Food was great! Everything was too tier! I will definitely come back, and recommend other people to come as well. Thank You Hales Blackbrick for a wonderful experience!

Chef Richard made a point to stop and introduce himself and personally thank everyone for joining him. The duck was an excellent choice and the service was top notch.

Foods decent but over priced and some portions are small. Do not get the lobster fried rice… zero flavor (sent it back due to lobster being undercooked) Fried chicken, short rib and salt and pepper shrimp were good. Lamb wontons were ehhh. Don’t get the chocolate cake - nothing special.

Just ridiculously tasty food, creative cocktails and friendly attentive service. If you like a little kick in your Chinese, this is the spot to check out. Been there three times and never disappoints!

One of the best kept secrets around although not much of a secret anymore! Chef Hales does an amazing job and this quaint spot offers a tremendous diverse menu with an exceptionally friendly and attentive staff. Chef personally greets each table during your meal and shows gratitude and appreciation which has certainly become a lost art in todays world. Love this spot. Consistently awesome each and every time.
