Our owner, Chef Richard Hales a four generation Tampa family since 1954, is back in his hometown of Tampa after 25 years away mastering Asian cuisine, opening award winning restaurants and appearing on the Food Network; beloved by the likes of Guy Fieri. Our seasonal menu features Asian techniques using the fi nest ingredients and availability of locally sourced produces. Chef Hales’ invites you to experience eclectic ambiance, elevated service and his version of Chinese cuisine.

Excellent food and service . I highly recommend and will definitely return. We ordered half the menu, and loved everything.

Just amazing! Food so yummy and service was perfect. Wasn’t sure what to expect but the food was just plain good! Best fried rice I have ever had, dumplings light and delicious. We barely had room for dessert but went for it…THE BEST Key lime pie…creamy and rich. I know key lime at Asian/fusion cuisine, like I said wasn’t sure about concept but go check it out! Only complaint, was pricey but welcome to 2024 in Tampa.

I recently attended a birthday dinner at Hales Blackbrick, and the experience was outstanding from start to finish. We ordered an assortment of dishes, and everything that touched the table was exceptional. From the perfectly cooked pork belly to the flavorful shrimp fried rice, tender short ribs, and mouthwatering dumplings, every dish was a hit. On top of the amazing food, the service was truly top-notch. Gabby did an incredible job tending the bar and serving our large group with efficiency. It was an unforgettable dining experience, and I’ll be back soon.

Great food, place and service. Kitchen staff were noisy when cleaning up during closing time, which is understandable but not ideal while we were still dining.

Wonted to find some great Asian food and with the help of OpenTable was led to Hales Blackbrick…..They did not miss on making my day. The food was above what I expected……A cannot miss spot if you are interested in amazing food with a great atmosphere.

Have been back to this great spot 3 times. Food is amazing. Chef Hale is always around and always happy to talk. Thais place is A hidden Jem. Great bar excellent drinks and the service is impeccable!!! BL

Very cool aesthetic but immediately was put off by the overwhelming loud music. Our server Whitney greeted us promptly and welcomed us for our 1st visit, she informed us about the menu, concept, and made some suggestions. I ordered the OPP Pinot noir and my friend ordered a mocktail. We ordered a variety of food and it all came out as it was ready which was rather quickly. The pork belly was my favorite and the cauliflower was excellent also. I however was not a fan of the truffle fried rice, maybe it's just my taste but I would have preferred a more traditional style of fried rice this rice was not fried just white rice with fried egg, green onion and very large truffles. My friend enjoyed the duck breast and we both enjoyed the beef and onion potstickers and the chicken and chive dumplings. The prices were on the high side so be prepared to spend about 100 per person to enjoy all the flavors the menu has to offer.
