Our owner, Chef Richard Hales, a four generation Tampa family since 1954, is back in his hometown of Tampa after 25 years away. Mastering Chinese cuisine, opening award winning restaurants and appearing on the Food Network; beloved by the likes of Guy Fieri. Our seasonal menu features Asian techniques using the fi nest ingredients and availability of locally sourced produces. Chef Hales’ invites you to experience an eclectic ambiance, elevated service and his version of Asian fusion.

We were so impressed! Everything was beyond our expectations. The food, ambiance, service, everything is 100/10. We had the tomahawk that was on special and it was phenomenal. Also the lamb, short ribs, Dan Dan noodles and soup dumplings deserve a mention. So delicious and we can’t wait to go back!

I had made reservations for a new years experience but when I got there, they sat us outside and advised they closed at 10. This was not the new years plans we had in mind and it set the experience terribly. I honestly don’t know if I will be returning. We tried to ask if there’s any possible way to have us inside and they denied us twice yet there were empty tables at 8:45 when they “close at 10”. It’s safe to say I did not get any new years experience it seemed liked it was a quite the day night dinner.

Our dining experience was outstanding - from cocktails to dessert! Whitney was attentive, the food was beyond delicious, and it was a pleasure to meet the owner as he welcomed us. Cannot wait to go back!

This location is so cute and love the ambience. Service was excellent and food was amazing per usual.

Food was inventive and delicious. Cocktails were well crafted. Overall great experience. The only suggestions would be to better regulate the temperature as the restaurant was very cold and despite a very good wine list, the wines by the glass selection were unimpressive.

We keep going back for the dumpling tower and soup dumplings! We have been to both locations and the ambience is incredible at both places. We love having date night at Hales Blackbrick. Also, we love seeing chef come out and greet us.

Food was wonderful! However, it was hard to enjoy because I was freezing. Wear extra layers when visiting!

We dined at the Dale Mabry location and it was a delightful experience from beginning to end. The service was 5 stars especially from the food runner named Kaylee her knowledge of the food was impressive and her overall attitude enhanced our experience everytime she stepped to our table! The seasonal cocktail the Fall Silk was stellar and the food had us over the moon, the white stinky rice siu mai is a must have !! If we had to complain about one thing it would be the creme brûlée bao the bao bun was hard and overly sweet when you added the caramelized sugar but it was definitely something worth the try ! We will definitely be returning to dine again.

Excellent vibe ,food and location. The service was good but server was new and needed additional training. It was great seeing Chef Hale mingling with the customers and so did his wife Jenny. I highly recommend stopping in for a meal - it will not disappoint you. Every item we ordered was good !
