First off, the food is very good and the restaurant has Michelin awards to prove it. The room is tastefully decorated, but too noisy. The service is fine. Here’s my problem, the food is Vietnam-ish., and I was looking forward to Vietnamese - not the same. There is one other issue - portion sizes are erratic - an appetizer was as large as a ‘main.’ Folks on one side of us ordered the tasting menu, and they said it was way too much , but very good. Folks on the other side advised to go with a La carte items, which is what we did.

The food, drinks and service were very good. The deserts were disappointing. We ordered two items and they were exactly the same except for one having some banana and the other having a few rice kernels. Our service was very good. The wait staff kindly let us modify our order when it became clear we had ordered too much.

The entire experience was a true delight. From Elizabeth greeting you as you enter through to the fine service by David and other servers - it was one of the BEST dining experiences I have enjoyed in a long while. Not to mention the amazing menu with each of our six choices being as good or better than the other. Unbelievable flavors, creative presentation and excellent value for the caliber of food. My visiting friend was blown away and I will definitely be back.

I usually don't leave reviews but we dined last night and everything was great. Attentive service, food was excellent, nothing over or under seasoned. Great drinks and a warm atmosphere. Thank you to the team for a nice dining experience.

This was an amazing discovery. The food was absolutely delicious, the flavors incomparable and the service, welcoming. I will certainly come back during a future trip to Chicago. I warmly recommend this lovely restaurant.

Happy Hour at Haisous is always a a great idea, staff is friendly and accommodating. Love the crab fried rice, wings, octopus salad, green beans, and more! And don’t skip dessert so many delicious options.
