Hacienda Calavera is a family-owned authentic Latin American cuisine restaurant in Cicero, Illinois. Inspired by creating a cultural interaction through food with one simple goal in mind: creating a place where people could experience the authentic feel of Latin America with its gourmet food and delicious tastes, incredible live music and warm familiar and festive vibes. We had a reservation for a birthday celebration. We were seated promptly. Food was prepared fast and tasted great. Good music was playing throughout our dining. Staff was friendly and just a great dining experience. Birthday day girl received her sash and birthday headband. Loved the experience at this restaurant. Great vibes, and several different picture backgrounds to take pictures.

I made a reservation for 10pm and got seated at 1055. I insisted we leave at around 1030 after being told twice that it would be 10 mins. It was frustrating to see the hostess all just not do there jobs in updating the system so it would give accurate turn around times & to see the hostess taking selfies while she has 20+ people waiting to be seated. The food was 2/10 i honestly expected way better than sour mashed potatoes & steak just full of fat. The asparagus was hard and smelly (not fresh). I can genuinely see why people like it the music was the best part of the whole night but everything else is just not for me.

I had a reservation at 10pm was seated 45 min later, the entree that I ordered came with rice and tortillas, as well as my husbands and we didn’t receive either, my husband steak was not seasoned at all, I then ordered dessert mango cheesecake which was hard and tasted like fridge. The waitress barely came to our table. I feel like the ambiance was nice but food was not. My cocktails were overly iced as well. Over I would not be returning to this restaurant I felt like for what they price the food they would do better!

First time here, everything was great just feel it's a little overpriced. Definitely a great place for occasional celebrations.

Me encanto ir el ambiente , decoracion y servicio 10/10 . Creo que ha sido uno de los restaurantes que mas he disfrutado y que los meseros/meseras son fenomenales. Definitivamente lo recomiendo.

Nice play overall. It was Friday night so I was waiting for the live band or live DJ but no idea how that went, but service and food 100% overall.

Such an amazing hidden gem . I had the seafood pasta and it was amazing . The portions are also large and worth the price . A must visit !!

Everything from start to end was great! Hosts and servers were awesome. Brought my daughter for her birthday and she really enjoyed herself!

Not sure if it was peak time when we arrived for our reservation, but it was pretty chaotic at host station for check in. Took way too long to get seated, server was great, food was just ok. Ambiance was beautiful, but way too loud. Hard to hold a conversation with live music going.
