Love this place, it’s inviting and comfortable, with very friendly and prompt waitstaff, the food is always excellent and service is great, you can either cook your own food right at the table on the hibachi or they will prepare it for you in the kitchen. The menu is extensive and has a huge appetizer menu and freshly made sushi. The server can help you pick out your meat selections and sides, and everything comes to the table nicely prepared. A great place to go with friends and family for dinner or a birthday celebration!!

Despite our reservation, wait time to be seated was a little longer than we expected. Once seated, our initial drink and appetizer orders were taken promptly. The appetizers and drinks were brought out to us in a timely manner. The import beer and Gyoza and cheesy butter corn appetizers were yummy. We placed our first meat order and it was brought out to us fairly quickly. After this is where the issues began. Subsequent orders of meats and sides were slow to come out. It took 25 minutes for a secondary rice order to emerge. Additionally, the waiter despite writing our dish requests down, forgot several items over the course of the next hour. We had to keep reminding him and then after a long wait time, many of the items still failed to materialize. The dishes were excellent, especially the various beef selections. The spicy edamame was extremely spicy for our taste. Unfortunately, we couldn't finish it. Nothing wrong with this, I am just pointing it out as a warning in case you are considering ordering it. So, overall, I do recommend Gyu-Kaku. But, I would like to see them work on ensuring requested orders consistently make it to the table. Thank you.

I have dined at other AYCE bbq previously and although this isn’t the worst in terms of meat quality, the experience wasn’t worth the price per person. The meat is very very salty so you immediately fill up on rice and lots of water. Every thing is served in very small portions so you have to order several times and wait (keep in mind there’s a dining time limit). The worst part was our waiter kept bothering us about downloading the app, even took my phone away to “help set it up”. I was then told 20min into dinner to do a google review in order to get 15% off my bill. And did not stop bothering us until I did. Gave me a coupon that ended up not even being valid until next year. They have thousands of reviews on Google probably because of this trick. Food quality and overall experience was bad.

I had a reservation and specifically requested a booth earlier that day. When I arrived they did not have any booths available which is exactly what I wanted for my group. The worst part about my experience is lack of service offered. We went so many times without any meat or food being ordered. It’s almost like we did not exist. We also have several orders gone unfulfilled as it never arrived. We paid $286 and this was for my birthday as much as I wanted to enjoy the experience I just felt like it wasn’t worth it last night.

It is an interesting place. The meats have some fat and that can lead to some of the meat burning quicker than other parts- watch what you’re cooking. A lot of the food had garlic so you better like garlic but it’s a different dinning experience to say the least.

Brittany was great energy, full restaurant and managed to be on the ball. Missed couple items, but got it to us in a timely manner. Appreciate her friendliness, great attitude, and awesome personality. Thank you, it was our first time. And we loved it.
