Gusto (pronounced Goo-sto) means tasty in Italian. Located in Toronto’s Corktown neighbourhood, Gusto 501 brings together the innovation of sister restaurant Gusto 101 and the soulful hospitality of Janet Zuccarini’s first restaurant, Trattoria Nervosa. Since opening our doors in 2020, Gusto 501 has been serving fresh takes on Italian fare in Toronto’s east end. Designed by award-winning architecture firm PARTISANS, Gusto 501’s space is punctuated by glowing terracotta walls and an oversized “garage door” façade that opens up to reveal a multi-level dining theatre.

It was our first time dining at Gusto 501 and unfortunately probably our last. We were seated on the second of three levels. Poor air circulation made it unbearable hot!! We spoke to the server and manager who both said it’s a building design flax..and there was not much they could do?? Seriously consider spending your money at this place! The food isn’t even the greatest…trust me, I’m Italian!

great spot at all hour but happy hour is the best. great value, great food/drinks. excellent service.

Absolutely amazing Italian food the calamari and pasta was amazing absolute perfection and a must go to if in Toronto

This was our first time at Gusto 501. We know of many who have visited in the past and the reviews were all positive. Our table was up on the rooftop patio. There are great views of the city from there. Be mindful of the many stairs to get up there though. It is a bit of a climb! I wish I could remember our server’s name. He was wonderful. Very attentive and pleasant. We split the calamari (definitely order this!!!), 2 salads and a pizza. Food was amazing and flavorful. Did not feel rushed and food arrived with a good amount of time in between courses. Thank you for a wonderful evening! 😊 We will be back!

Mattie D was a great server. The food was excellent. The ambience was urban and chic with a great vibrance and energy. Worth it!

The carpaccio was AMAZING. And the funghi pasta is so good I could literally swim in a tub of it

First time here and had a wonderful experience. It happened to be happy hour and there was plenty of food as well as drinks at a discounted price.
