Gusto (pronounced Goo-sto) means tasty in Italian. Located in Toronto’s Corktown neighbourhood, Gusto 501 brings together the innovation of sister restaurant Gusto 101 and the soulful hospitality of Janet Zuccarini’s first restaurant, Trattoria Nervosa. Since opening our doors in 2020, Gusto 501 has been serving fresh takes on Italian fare in Toronto’s east end. Designed by award-winning architecture firm PARTISANS, Gusto 501’s space is punctuated by glowing terracotta walls and an oversized “garage door” façade that opens up to reveal a multi-level dining theatre.

Food was good! Smaller portions. Service was average and not that attentive. We sat in the rooftop and unfortunately it was not very covered, it was a hot day and it was very uncomfortable until the sun set.

Amazing experience and the best happy hour menu in the city. Great food and ambiance, will definitely come back. Special thanks to Taylor the manager for making it extra special!

Good Italian spot on the east end. Good food and friendly service. It gets very hot in the restaurant in the summer because they open up their large main window, making it an uncomfortable dining environment.

Manager Joe and all the staff were amazing and helpful, very efficient and helped us get a table on the rooftop! We loved our experience here and will be back! I had a non-alcoholic cocktail and my friend had a regular one, both were delicious and service was fast.

Perfect, every single time. The only restaurant in Toronto that is consistent in service, ambiance, and delicious.

Food prices were a little high for the quality of the food, service was ok however even though I made a reservation last week wanting to eat outside, due to the weather we were not able to which was fine, but instead of accommodating us with a table inside, we were just offered a seat at the bar, overall not a great experience and I don’t feel the need to come back and give it another chance.

Great authentic Italian food. Friendly atmosphere and both the pizzas and pastas were very good. Fresh ingredients, all homemade.

Awesome food, drinks ($1 ounce nice house wine), and service! Ambience was perfect too! Wish I could give 6 stars!! Can’t wait to go back!!
