It all started in the late 1800’s.. a young Gustav Johann Garbe got on a boat from Bremen, Germany to New York, destined for the North West Territories of Canada. Gustav stood up and stood out, always with family, friends and community at the forefront of his mind. His drive, passion and core values have directed four generations of self made entrepreneurs to where we find ourselves today.

John Garbe, in the name of his great grandfather, has assembled a team of exceptional professionals. The menu has been carefully developed, relying on local farmers and community for unsurpassed cuisine. The service experience is firmly rooted in family and friends. This is Gustav.

Amazing steak prepared however you’d like! Went for the Chicago-style and it was outstanding! Perfect service as well. Would love to come back.

This was one of the best meals my wife and I had had in many years. Absolutely incredible service, presentation and the food was spectacular.

Amazing food and service! My wife selected a wine and Chris our server suggested a better wine. He was right. Food was to die for, and the overall experience was excellent.

The 2 breakfasts were wonderful (food & service). However, I had 2 dinners, and my first experience was somewhat OK, but the 2nd was awful. For the 1st - the food was amazing but as a single diner I was somewhat ignored. The Manager made his rounds to the other tables (3 parties of 2, 1 party of 3 and 1 party of 4). He looked in my direction, turned and walked away and never checked in. My reservations explicitly state Celiac Disease & Fish/Seafood Allergy. My dinner was supposed to come with Toast Points but nothing was said or offered as a GF substitute. I had checked in advance and knew there were options but had to tell the server this. My 2nd dinner however: Reservation was for 6:45, I arrived on time & ordered a 5oz filet mignon (Medium). When it finally arrived, it was rare. It was taken back and by 7:45 I was STILL waiting. I hadn't decided on wine (the drink menu was left with me), but I was never asked if I wanted anything else. There was a wedding party in a private room, but all the other tables around me were serviced properly. Eventually told the server that I would bring dinner to my room (staying in the hotel), but would need cutlery, napkin etc. Eventually the meal was given to me in a take-out container with nothing else. I had to explain again and waited another 5 minutes for the plate etc. They didn't charge me for dinner (rightfully so), but about 1/2 hour after I finished, I was sick for a few hours. I'm guessing it was cross contamination with Seafood on the grill. There are a lot of single travelers out there, and lots of people with allergies. Please do better in the future Gustav Chophouse!

In one word…FANTASTIC!! We were celebrating our 29th wedding anniversary. We were greeted with 2 complimentary glasses of champagne which was a wonderful surprise. We felt very catered to throughout our entire evening. Our waiter was awesome! Very personable. Can’t say enough of how amazing the service was!! The manager Chad made several stops at our table to ensure we were enjoying our experience. Very nice! And the food….OUTSTANDING!! Absolutely delicious!! I had the Sirloin Oscar and my husband had the surf and turf. Everything was cooked perfectly. My husband also had the table side fire roasted Caesar salad and he loved it. At the end of the evening they brought over a complimentary slice of delicious cake with Happy Anniversary written in icing on the platter. We had one of the best experiences we’ve ever had at a restaurant (and we go out quite often). And the prices are so reasonable!!! If we are ever back in the area we will definitely be eating there again! Highly recommend this outstanding restaurant! You won’t be disappointed. Thank you everyone at Gustav Chophouse for such a wonderful experience!!

Our server Chris was great! Very attentive and helpful. The food was absolutely amazing!! Steak done to perfection!! Great experience

After a great day of golfing we had dinner at GustavCgoohouse and Bar. The staff were incredibly friendly a d the food was fantastic!

Fantastic meal and service. Prices are high bit when you leave so satisfied you tend to not focus on that.

Our server tried hard to oversell expensive menu items. Praised food as best ever. Caesar salad was disappointing. Not enough dressing. Ordered steak Neptune and had to send back undercooked. After new meal arrived steak was better but vegetables were not cooked. Table for 4 beside us was comped complete dinner plus free dessert. (Not sure why). We decided not worth hassle and paid. Very disappointed for $175 with no drinks and no dessert.
