Named after our daughter Grace, along with the idea that a steakhouse can be graceful, whimsical, and elegant without being dark and moody. What started as a vision to keep the vibe light and airy while letting the outside in, has turned into an Award-winning design of which we couldn't be prouder.
This menu is truly meant to offer something for everyone, with often found steakhouse features as well as a plethora of seafood to truly highlight the best of the gulf and beyond. Prime, Dry Aged and local Wagyu cuts of beef in 4 to 40 oz. portions are available to satisfy any sized appetite. Innovative cocktails and wines from around the world top it all off -making Guard and Grace the place to be for happy hour, a couple's night out or your private event.
Our family, or Ohana, is a passionate group of culinary obsessives who strive to make memories that will last a lifetime. Houston is a special city that has stolen our hearts, and from the bottom of them, we thank you for joining us.

Chef/Owner Troy Guard and Chef Adam Vero have crafted a show-stopping menu, each course thoughtfully paired with wine by Hedges VP of Sales Emma Healion.     Superb service, very knowledgeable waitstaff, food was cooked to perfection, exactly how we asked. The restaurant even went above and beyond by surprising my boyfriend with a personal birthday card signed by the entire Guard and Grace staff.

    Very nice place - food came out to quick and we felt rushed- ie mains came out before we finished starters Need Tatar was very fattie

    Very underwhelmed. We had to wait a long time for our table even though we were in time for our reservation. The service was terrible! Our waiter did not greet us and even told us another waitress would be by. Then eventually he came back to take our order, but forgot to take drink orders. One person ordered a drink with their meal and got it and then others asked if they could have a drink too? Then he had the audacity to say “monkey see, monkey do”! This was a business lunch…so I was mortified. Won’t be back. It was all very messy for such a nice restaurant.

    The space is awesome. Contemporary but understated. A bit industrial. The service could be better. I was surprised the at the food came out before we finished our salads and the waiter reached over people to had the plates. There was no warning as to how spicy some food is on the menu and is was too much. It is expensive, like all of the steakhouses.

    Overall we had a pleasant dinner. We were seated upon arrival for our 7pm reservation. Our server, Tia was outstanding. She was friendly and attentive. The food was good. We ordered several appetizers. Our favorite was the Crispy Tuna. The Burrata and octopus was good too. The steaks were cooked well. The smashed potatoes were delish. Our least favorite was the Vietnamese salad. Desserts were heavenly. We ordered sticky toffee cake, choc chip cookies and apple caramel bread pudding. The down side of the evening was the valet. Valet was a nightmare and we ended up valeting at Baldwin Hotel next door.

    Excellent meal, from the cocktails thru dessert. Cool, urban ambiance, wonderful service, wide variety of every course offered. Quality is superb. Tried the Denver location first, Houston is equally as great.

    Excellent, wood-smoke forward preparation was executed perfectly. I ordered the Filet Flight to compare cuts, and that was a delight. The straightforward rub and deeper sear complimented the meat perfectly, adding welcome dimension without overpowering. Brought some of the qualities of the best, most honest barbecue while remaining firmly in what I want from a steakhouse as someone who only gets to do something like this once a year. Personally, I thought the Angus best complimented the style best and had the greatest contrast, but all three worked. Confident your preferred cut would be a good choice here.
