Named after our daughter Grace, along with the idea that a steakhouse can be graceful, whimsical, and elegant without being dark and moody. What started as a vision to keep the vibe light and airy while letting the outside in, has turned into an Award-winning design of which we couldn't be prouder.
This menu is truly meant to offer something for everyone, with often found steakhouse features as well as a plethora of seafood to truly highlight the best of the gulf and beyond. Prime, Dry Aged and local Wagyu cuts of beef in 4 to 40 oz. portions are available to satisfy any sized appetite. Innovative cocktails and wines from around the world top it all off -making Guard and Grace the place to be for happy hour, a couple's night out or your private event.
Our family, or Ohana, is a passionate group of culinary obsessives who strive to make memories that will last a lifetime. Houston is a special city that has stolen our hearts, and from the bottom of them, we thank you for joining us.

Chef/Owner Troy Guard and Chef Adam Vero have crafted a show-stopping menu, each course thoughtfully paired with wine by Hedges VP of Sales Emma Healion. Don't miss the unique opportunity to celebrate the land, farm and family by way of wine and food. Cocktails at 6:30PM, Dinner begins at 7PM Seating is limited.

Overall we had a pleasant dinner. We were seated upon arrival for our 7pm reservation. Our server, Tia was outstanding. She was friendly and attentive. The food was good. We ordered several appetizers. Our favorite was the Crispy Tuna. The Burrata and octopus was good too. The steaks were cooked well. The smashed potatoes were delish. Our least favorite was the Vietnamese salad. Desserts were heavenly. We ordered sticky toffee cake, choc chip cookies and apple caramel bread pudding. The down side of the evening was the valet. Valet was a nightmare and we ended up valeting at Baldwin Hotel next door.

Excellent meal, from the cocktails thru dessert. Cool, urban ambiance, wonderful service, wide variety of every course offered. Quality is superb. Tried the Denver location first, Houston is equally as great.

Excellent, wood-smoke forward preparation was executed perfectly. I ordered the Filet Flight to compare cuts, and that was a delight. The straightforward rub and deeper sear complimented the meat perfectly, adding welcome dimension without overpowering. Brought some of the qualities of the best, most honest barbecue while remaining firmly in what I want from a steakhouse as someone who only gets to do something like this once a year. Personally, I thought the Angus best complimented the style best and had the greatest contrast, but all three worked. Confident your preferred cut would be a good choice here.

The menu lacks some description as to the quantity of the side options. Most entrees do not come with sides, but when a side is ordered it's enough for several people at the table. However, for the quality of the food itself, it was absolutely phenomenal. You could taste the dedication and the food itself and the service was amazing. There was never a conversation held with a staff member that wasn't starting an ending with a smile. Would love to go back!

I was thoroughly impressed by the overall experience. The ambiance was inviting, setting the perfect mood for a delightful meal. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the food; every dish I tried was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. Noteworthy was the service. Our server , Brittany was outstanding—attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. She went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was exceptional, offering great recommendations and checking in with us at just the right moments. Guard and Grace provided a memorable dining experience marked by delicious food and top-notch service. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to eat.

I had an amazing time celebrating my girlfriend’s birthday. Lia was so nice and attentive. She answered all of our questions and helped make the experience memorable. I will most definitely recommend this restaurant to our friends and will tell them to ask for Lia! Thanks again!

Guard and Grace was perfect for me and my wife on our first anniversary. Everyone greeted us with smiles and congratulations, and the special card signed by much of the staff was a beautiful touch. The modern setting had something for everyone: intimate booths for couples, tables for larger groups, and energetic seating at the bar with TVs. Floor-to-ceiling windows offered pleasant natural light in the early evening with nice views to the well-maintained courtyards of Allen Center. Liannaly led us through the menu and crafted the perfect selection with the Chingon Board. The braised wagyu wontons was well-balanced savory & salty followed by a jalapeno kick. Our prime & wagyu tenderloin had an excellent sear and edge-to-edge medium-rare, melting wonderfully with each bite. We also loved the generous portion of gnocchi with truffle oil. These and the every other item of the board delivered an elegant and warm culinary experience fusing classic steakhouse and Asian/Hawaiian influences, the sum of our course being greater than its parts. Most unique to us was how excited the staff was to show us their craft, from Liannaly confidently recommending certain items, to the kitchen staff elaborating on each dish served. This proactive approach to the customer experience is a nice break from places that simply wait for you to choose whatever sounds good from the menu.

My experience was excellent as usual. If you want black tie level service excellence then I recommend you request Sofiane as your server. His professionalism and attention to detail is exquisite.
