Depuis 2010, Grounded se concentre sur des plats savoureux, faits maison avec une approche pratique. Nous nous spécialisons dans les déjeuners rapides et sains, la cuisine de pub gastronomique, le barbecue, le café de troisième vague et les délicieux cocktails. Notre nouvel emplacement au 1545 Carling incarne tout ce que représente Grounded, tout en innovant par l'automatisation et le service client humain. Les clients commandent via un QR code à leur table, les questions sont répondues et les articles livrés, puis règlent au bar. Grounded est audacieux et créatif, avec une salle à manger unique en verre, acier, béton, lumières colorées et œuvres d'art locales. Nous avons aussi une terrasse.

Worst experience. I’m celiac and made the owner aware of that prior to booking when I called to ask if they could take a large group (18) and if they had gluten free options. I was told anything on the menu could be made gluten free and was so excited about that. I arrived and the area I was told we’d be booked in was not where they put us. We were given 3 separate booth all broken up into groups which I had told them I would have never booked this reservation had I of known we wouldn’t be able to sit together, it was for my birthday. Then went to order and asked how I put in gluten free toast as you have to place your order on your phone. He then said they don’t have gluten free toast (the owner) I said when I called and spoke to you, you told me anything g can be done gluten free as I’m celiac he then said well we don’t carry gluten free toast because it’s gross. TO A CELIAC WHO HAS NO OTHER OPTION AT HER BIRTHDAY BRUNCH. On top of the terrible seating arrangement I’m now getting this service. I then said I’m so annoyed and he said he’d leave me alone. He took my meal off the bill. Wow a whopping 20 bucks. I ordered 3 sides of tater tots for our table to find out AFTER they have flour in them (the never do they are potatoes) and they have to make me fries I can’t eat those. So I end up with 4 sides only 1 I can eat for 5 people instead of mentioning this before they give me 3 sides I can’t eat. Overall terrible experience. If you’re looking for a cute brunch with a group please avoid here. If you have 0 dietary need and just 1-4 people it’s not bad.

This venue has the most generous service you could ask for. Wonderful staff (shoutout Riley & Marlena in particular). Love this place and plan to be back many more times.

Struggled finding location and parking was a hassle. Lost half my lunch break because of time needed to park. To be fair restaurant is in an office complex and not really visible from Carling Ave. Difficult location to access. Quite loud inside with music to have a business related conversation but good for a casual meal. Food was satisfactory but not spectacular and tough to get condiments (salt/pepper) from service staff because they seemed understaffed for number of patrons.

We went for lunch and the servers & bartender went above and beyond. Plenty to choose from on the menu! We had to tuna tartar which was great! As well as the whipped feta and brisket bowl. The decor and seating inside was fun and cozy. They also verify parking on the way out. Would definitely go back and recommend to friends and family.

My partner and I have been here many times and LOVE the food and service. The only negative was that I got an allergic reaction after telling the staff about my allergies and ended up in the hospital. If you don’t have anaphylactic allergies, I would 100000% recommend Grounded, everything tastes amazing and the staff is extremely personable. If you do have allergies, be really cautious!

I took my family there to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. The kitchen did not disappoint. My ribs were perfect. The burger was great. Lisa's beef rice bowl was outstanding. The house salad was really good. The only flaw was the poutine, which was sent back as it was found to be too salty. Still our favourite place to eat in Ottawa. They still sell the best cornbread I have ever tasted by far.

Highly recommend eating at Grounded. Has moved to a nicer location with patio seating. Food and staff were fantastic! Will come here again.

Grounded is our new favourite restaurant. We have been 3 times in the past month with family and friends. We have walked over and enjoyed lunch, dinner and the early happy hour. The rib special for 2 was excellent. The oysters and steak on the happy hour menu on Friday was exceptional. The chicken sandwich for lunch was my favourite. We will definitely be back
