Full of character and charm, Grizzelda’s transports guests to Central and Coastal Mexico with its lush greenery, shades of pink and pops of floral wallpaper. From heirloom and traditional Central Mexican dishes and moles to fresh coastal crudos, the cuisine at Grizzelda's runs the gamut of Mexican fare while holding true to Austin’s Tex-Mex roots. Grizzelda’s, located across the street from sister restaurant Jacoby’s Restaurant & Mercantile, is the second project from the Jacoby Restaurant Group.

    The food was alright but got cold very quickly, felt like we had to wave down our server everytime to get refills of our tables drinks.

    Service was awesome, greeted quickly and food came out fast but the food a little bland and lackluster. Shrimp fajitas had no seasoning, no char on the meat, very few bell peppers and small shrimp/skimpy portion. I could barely make two fajitas while the skirt fajitas was plentiful and had enough for leftovers. Felt like a nicer chuys…wasn’t awful but wasn’t great. Just good enough.

    Mezcal margarita and fajitas are on point. Guacamole is delicious with the jalapeños and some of the best tortilla chips in Austin. Every dish is yummy and keeps you wanting more.

    What a wonderful place to celebrate a special occasion. We were a party of 8 and everything ordered was wonderful. The chips and salsa were plentiful and everyone loved the smoky salsa and the spicier green salsa. We ordered chicken fajitas, skirt steak fajitas, cheese chile rellenos, taco salad served vegan, and enchiladas verde which came with beans and rice along with the brussel sprouts and street corn salad as shareable sides. Every dish was excellent. This is not a cheap restaurant so be prepared for a special occasion bill but it wasn't outrageous and the food was a very high quality. They served each birthday person a complementary dessert which was enough to share with the rest of the party. We will definitely be back.

    Server barely knew what he was doing and seemed confused on half of the items we ordered.. food was just ok

    The service was great. Food was okay, the fajitas did not come out sizzling or even especially hot. Drinks were good but over priced. Overall a good experience but nothing you can’t get in hundreds of restaurants across Austin for the same cost.
