   We flew to Boston from a small town in Oklahoma. There is nothing even close to Grill 23 where we live. Grill 23 was suggested as a place to celebrate our anniversary by many people in different forums. We were sat in front of a beautiful fireplace, and given champagne to toast with. The food was absolutely delicious. The best meal either of us have ever had. The service was impeccable. Ryan was our waiter and seemed to anticipate everything we might need. It was a once in a lifetime experience and meal for us, and worth every cent we paid.

   We tried Grill 23 for the first time and we chose the dine out menu. The Caesar salad had a really awful taste (similar to fish) and we couldn’t even finish our plates. The Wagyu and steak were very delicious! The desserts were fair (pineapple sundae and chocolate layer cake) The restaurant was very busy and the noise level was moderate. The service was slow, and when we mentioned to the waiter that we had a big issue with the salad, no actions were taken. We were very disappointed and honestly expected a better experience.

   This was our second time here. Food was once again delicious. From the Dine Out Boston menu we started with carpaccio and chowder, chose steak frites and chicken for our mains, and tried both the pineapple sundae and chocolate layer cake for dessert. Service was professional and attentive. But the experience wasn''t enjoyable because of the noise level. The first time we tried Grill 23 we were seated upstairs, which was completely filled yet pleasantly bustling. This time we were seated in the cavernous downstairs, just above the main dining floor, and the noise was dreadful. Clearly it's a happening spot but I'll be hesitant to return unless we could guarantee a seat upstairs.

   Our Waiter Bill was amazing and wonderful. The food was worth the price and the experience!

   Misty was an absolute delight to have as a server. Sonny, Eric, and Ariel were all very pleasant as well making this an amazing experience overall. If I could go once a week, I would.

    Very overpriced for what you get. 1000 potato and clam chowder were good, but the worst grilled shrimp I’ve ever had. Same went for the roasted heritage chicken my partner ordered as well - it was burnt and flavorless. Drinks and desserts were good.
